Bessemer, AL - Cedar Fair, L.P. announced that they will be taking over Bessemer, Alabama's Visionland. Visionland was started by the mayor of Fairfield, Alabama, Larry Langford. Langford was given $60 million from the state and in 1998 the park opened. Visionland was successful mainly because of it's wooden coaster Rampage, which was designed by Custom Coasters International. There is a bright future ahead for Visionland since Cedar Fair owns many successful parks such as, Cedar Point, Worlds of Fun, Knotts Berry Farm, Valleyfair!, and Dorney Park.
