Great Adventure will be getting New Water Park for 2000

Jackson, NJ - This year Six Flags Great Adventure will be opening a 45-acre water park called Hurricane Harbor. Six Flags Hurricane Harbor will have tropical theming based around the story of an explorer/inventor named Copernicus T. Potter who found a beautiful tropical island. He invented devices to hold the islands magical waters that gave eternal youth but they were all destroyed by strong winds in the middle of a hurricane.

This new water park will be one of the largest in the world which will have 25 major rides/attractions. Among those rides are 13 water slides, a million-gallon wave pool, a family activity lagoon, and an Adventure River.

Hurricane Harbor will have a seperate entrance from Great Adventure. The adult entrance fee will be $26.99 and children will be admitted for $19.00. Six Flags plans to open the new Hurricane Harbor on Memorial Day weekend this coming May.
