The Goliath, a 255 foot steel hypercoaster is being built at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California for the new millenium. This will be on of the fastest coasters in the world with a speed of 85mph.
One of Goliath's features is it's pitch black tunnel at the end of the 61 degree first drop. After the riders pass throught the 120 foot tunnel (which is filled with smoke) they will encounter many awesome elements. These elements are a high-speed spiraling curve, many camelback hills, and a carousel dive towards the end of the ride. The orange and teal giant will have 4,500 feet of track and will soar over the Colossus at one point. It will take 3 minutes to complete the ride. The Goliath is a great addition to Six Flag's Magic Mountains' coaster collection.
The builder's of the Goliath is Giovanola. They are based in Monthey, Switzerland. Giovanola has already begun construction on the Goliath and Six Flag's Magic Mountain officials are expecting to have the Goliath running for the early spring of 2000.
