Munkustrap appears to be the leader of the Jellicles when Old Deuteronomy is not around. He's in charge of passing the stories on to the younger generation. Along with the older toms, he protects the queens and kittens, and is often refered to as "The Keeper of the Kittens". In the Macavity fight, he and Alonzo are the ones that fight and throw Macavity out of the junkyard. Some think he will take over the job of leading the Jellicles when Old Deuteronomy passes on and some don't. Also, in the video he can often be seen with Demeter, but in some productions Munkustrap is also seen with other cats such as Bombalurina, Cassandra, or even Victoria. This black and silver/white (depending on the production) tabby is very serious and takes his duties...well...seriously!
