Soul Mates
We were filled with so much pain
Hurt by others
who took advantage of our hearts
We loved deeply and gave every part of ourselves
to them, still we hurt
We were alone both in body and spirit
Something, someone more powerful, watching over us
knew we needed each other
and fate stepped in
We were brought together
We absorbed each other's pain
and our hearts and souls reached out
and joined together
And there is no more hurt
No more pain
Because we don't do that
We love, we protect, we care
And our hearts are filled with kindness
