"How?" Liz questioned.
"Don't worry, it'll happen. Come on we have to move if we want to be on time," Leslie stated.
She grabbed Liz's hand and yanked her forward to where 5 guys were surrounded by the photographers causing all of the light.
"TAKE FIVE EVERYONE!!" Leslie screamed. Liz looked at her, shocked that all of the sound came out of her body. Leslie noticed her expression and spoke quickly, "Didn't think I had it in me, did ya?"
Liz didn't have time to respond as once again Leslie was dragging her into a side room. "Guys, I'm coming in so you better be decent," she screamed through the door. Liz took a deep breath and followed Leslie into the room where 4 really hot guys were scattered around the room.
A Spanish looking man sat on the couch, he looked up to her and smiled. Next to him sat a younger man with tattoos covering every inch of his arms. On the floor in front of them sat a young blonde one, playing with his sneakers. Finally, on the chair near a window, was a man with hazel eyes and an intense stare. "Guys, i would like to introduce your new personal assistant---"
"Sorry I'm late, I had to take a piss," another man yelled, walking into the room. Liz stared at him, he wasn't young, but he wasn't old, and he had the most striking blue eyes she had ever seen.
Leslie's elbow in her side quickly broke her from her thoughts. "As I was saying.....I would like you all to meet your new personal assistant, Elizabeth McHugh," Leslie finished.
Liz didn't want to speak, for fear that she would say something stupid, so she remained quiet. "Liz, this is Howie, AJ, Nick, Kevin, and the rude one is Brian," Leslie said, pointing to each of them as she said their names. They each managed to get out a "hello," before Leslie interrupted them.
"I hate to break up this bonding moment, but the guys have to get back out to the wolves," she said. Liz watched as each guy walked slowly out the door where they were met by more flashes.
When they were out fo the room Liz turned to Leslie, "I can't do this, I'm sorry," Liz said heading toward the door.
Leslie grabbed her arm before she reached the door. "Where are you going, you can't leave, the guys need you," she said to her.
Liz's mind raced with an answer. Tell her you left the coffee pot on, or you are in the wrong building, start speaking spanish, or tell her that your dog has a small bladder and right now he's on your expensive comforter, tell her anything stupid!! If you have to tell her the truth, tell her you're afraid of things that aren't comfortable, things you don't know.
"You're right, I was just kidding," Liz said, taking a seat on the couch where Howie and AJ were sitting earlier.
"Don't worry, I'm here till you get the hang of things and we still have an hour till the guys are done to go over today and tomorrow schedules."
Smiling brightly at Leslie, Liz put her mind on getting the job done, something she was used to.
*FLASHBACK*
"Let's go McHugh, we need your head in this game," Coach Blair screamed at Liz.
Liz shook her head trying to clear her mind of the mistake she just made. Her high school volleyball team had been one point away from a victory in the state championships, and she had just lost their serve.
Blocking out her coach and her past mistakes she focused on getting the serve back. The other team's serve came at her hard and low, but Liz was ready; Liz and her team went on the win the championship and Liz had even won the MVP award.
As a freshman and a starter on a championship team, she found that focusing on gettting the job done was the way to get her mind off of her fears.
