The Niedermeyers Family

Ralph E. Neidermyer and his wife, Paulette compiled the history of the Niedermeyers Family in 1980. I am grateful to them for their research; the results of which can be seen here. However, I cannot begin to list all the information they have dug up on the family. If you would like to know more about the Niedermeyers (and later, Myers) family, e-mail me and I will photocopy Mr. and Mrs. Niedermyers' research for you.

First Generation
A C.F. ("Frederick") NIEDERMEYERS* his wife, A.L.M. ("Sophia")*, and their five children came from Prussia, which was in Germany at the time (today it is part of Eastern Poland). On June 11, 1847, the family arrived at a Philadelphia port aboard the Brigadier George Delius, an American ship that had gone to bring immigrants to the United States.

Frederick NIEDERMEYERS was born 20 August 1805 in Prussia. He died 29 July 1873 and is buried at the Rothsville Lutheran Cemetery. He was a farmer in Prussia and Warwick Township, Lancaster County, PA.

Frederick's wife, Sophia was born 9 September 1907 in Prussia. She died 28 July 1875 and is also buried at the Rothsville Lutheran Cemetery.

Second Generation
A1 Henry NIEDERMEYERS* was b. 13 Sep. 1832 in Prussia, m. Delina Melina MINNICH*, d. 5 Apr. 1883 in Warwick, Lancaster Co., PA.

Henry and Delina had 8 children (for more information on the children's descendants, please email me): Frank (A11), Harry (A12), Minerva* (A13) (see photos #2 & #10), Edith (A14), William (A15), Ella (A16), Paris (A17), Alvin M. (A18).

A2 Frederick NIEDERMEYERS Jr. was b. 25 Jul. 1835. He m. Mary Ann SHISSLER and he d. 14 Jul. 1912.

A3 William NIEDERMEYERS was b. 8 Mar. 1838. He married Catherine A. and he d. 6 Jan. 1912.

A4 Mary NIEDERMEYERS was b. 8 Mar. 1843 and she m. Daniel BUCH

A5 John NIEDERMEYERS was b. 5 Apr. 1845. He d. 11 Jul. 1861 and he is buried at Rothsville Lutheran Cemetery

A6 Amanda NIEDERMEYERS was b. 12 Dec. 1847 and she m. George PRICE
Third Generation
A11 Frank MYERS m. Emma WELDMAN

A12 Harry MYERS m. Mary MILLER

A13 Minerva (aka Minnie) MYERS * was b. 1866. She d. 1954 in Lititz, PA. She m. Aaron ESHLEMAN* (see ESHLEMAN A1).
