First Generation

AJohannes HIESTAND* was christened on 23 January 1676 in Richterswil, Switzerland. He married Regula THEILER* on 3 June 1708. Regula was christened 10 August 1664.

They had at least one daughter, Barbara* (A1).

Second Generation

A1Barbara HIESTAND was christened 23 June 1709 in Richterswil, Switzerland. She married John BEAR and lived on his plantation in Earl Township, Lancaster Co., Pa.

Children of her first marriage include: Elizabeth (A11), Mary (A12), Barbara (A13). Barbara HIESTAND was widowed and her second marriage was in Groffdale, Lancaster County Pa. around 1740 to Hans Jacob SUMI (See SUMMY A12)

A11Elizabeth BEAR married Peter WHITMORE

A12Mary BEAR married John SENSENICK

A13Barbara BEAR who married Christian NEWCOMER(probably of Cocalico Twp., Pa.). They had the children John (A131) and Maray (A132)

A132Maray (or Mercy) BEAR married ??? FLICKINGER
