Chapter 13- Clubbing

"Did you have fun at work?" Casey cheerfully asked as Taylor opened the door and entered the kitchen of their apartment.

"Oh yeah, tons," he sarcastically replied, "Suddenly being home all day has a new appeal."

"Casey grinned. "I'm sure you'll get used to it soon. You should change into the clothes I put out for you in your room, we're going out tonight."

"Where's my brother?" he asked.

"Watching TV, hurry up, we have to go soon."

"Where are we going?"

"I thought we'd go to a nice cafe and then out to a club," she replied, "What are you waiting for, go!" she playfully pushed him to the door of his room."

"How come you never take just me out to dinner when no one's here!" he replied, rolling his eyes as he entered his room.

"Ike, are you ready?" she asked him, sitting down on the chair in the living room.

"Yeah, whenever Tay's ready, we can go. You don't have to keep taking me out, you know, it's fine if we just stayed here."

"No, it's good to go out,it's no fun staying at the apartment. Besides, all of Tay's friends are going to be there, so, it's all good."

"You mean the ones I met when we were looking for Taylor?"

"Yeah, those guys."

"Sounds like fun."

"Hey Taylor, what's going on?" Chris asked as he gave his friend a high five. "I haven't seen you in a while."

"Yeah, I know, I started working and my brother's still here." he replied.

Chris nodded his head in reply. "Dude, I'll catch you later, OK?" He walked over to the bar and started talking to the bartended. Taylor decided it was a good time for him to get a drink also so he headed to the central bar in the club.

"Oh, can you hold on a second?" Casey asked the girl she was talking to. She didn't know her well but had seen her at parties and everything. "I'll be right back." Shit, she thought to herself as she walked over to one of the bars. Isaac was flirting with a pretty blond girl over at the bar and was buying her a drink. "Ike," she hissed at him, recieving a dirty look from the girl, "I need to have a word with you."

"Hold on." he answered.

"No, now," she continued, her hands balled into fists.

"What is it, Casey?" he asked her in a frustrated, angry tone.

"Out of all the girls in this fucking club you had to go and talked to her?" Casey shrilled answered. "I don't know if you know who that is, but that girl has caused your brother so much pain. She is the biggest bitch I have ever met, and if your brother sees you with her-" Casey stopped short, trying to calm down.

"Who is she, Casey?" Ike asked her, in a still annoyed tone.

"That's Lucie, the one and only. Please, just don't get involved with that girl. Buy her her drink, and leave, ok?"

"Casey, the things I do for you." he sighed in disgust. "Excuse me," he turned around and faced Lucie, "I have to go now, but I'll see you later." he abruptly walked away.

Lucie tapped Casey on the shoulder. "Look," she began when Casey turned around, "I don't know who the hell you think you are, but you have no right to tell people to stay away from me."

"No, I don't for every person, but for that certain person, I have every right to tell him to stay away from you, after what you did to his brother!" Casey angrily answered.

"So that's what this is about now, right? Look, Taylor was a big boy, and so is his brother. What happened is in the past. They don't need you to be their mother and tell them who to talk to or not. Do you understand me?"

"Loud and clear, but I am not going to stand around and watch another person I care about crumble because of you. Just leave them alone already, I don't care who else you take and treat like shit, it doesn't bother me. Just leave those two alone!" Casey sighed and walked away.

"Hey!" Lucie called to her." She didn't answer so she called her again. When she recieved the same response, she mumbled under her breath, "Bitch, two can play at this game."

"Casey, what's wrong, you look pissed." Chris told her as he walked over to her and gave her a hug.

"It's fine," she answered, "I just had a little disagreement with someone, but it's no big deal."

"Don't worry about it," he replied.

"Well, normally I wouldn't give a shit, but it was Lucie, and I have a tendancy to dislike sluts like her who play guys and then ditch them." she sighed.

"Hey, look," Chris continued, "You shouldn't beat yourself up over her, it's not worth it. She's yesterday's news anyway."

"Well, she would be, but she was trying to get with Tay's brother."

"So that's why you're mad at her?"

"Well, yeah..." Casey trailed off. "Look what she did to him, he was so like, hopeless after she left him."

"Don't worry about it Casey, everything will be fine. Sorry to cut this short, but Greg just walked in and I haven't seen him all day, so I'll talk to you later."

Casey laughed. "Bye Chris." I wish I could be that happy with someone,Casey thought. Chris and his boyfrind are so cute together. She scanned the club looking for either Ike or Taylor when she noticed what she hoped wouldn't happen. "Shit," she said to herself, putting her head in her hands, "I knew she'd find him-Dammit!"
