the residents are moving
into this locality
they brought their wives and kids with them
without consulting me
i see a station wagon
pulling in without a sound
they must be planning to invade
our private little town
now the residential neighborhood
we never knew
transforms into another
kind of automotive tool
in retrospect i reminisce
when they were far away
the air was clean and
people were expected to obey
now things are changing overnight
the snakefinger is here
i better hide the closet from
the cryptic overseer
it looks like mr. fox is
pointing over at my room
but i got just the weapon
to ensure his very doom
the residents are jumping back
inside their west coast car
i must have made them realize
exactly where they are
they oughta know to call me up
before they visit me
i'm not the one to fight
until the year 1980
