Miss Phipps (to class): This is a 'faux pas.' I remember one little boy coming to me one year, talking about the 'fox pass' ... and it isn't a 'fox pass', people, it's a 'faux pas'. And this means a 'mis-step'. So if you go up to someone and you say 'that's the ugliest man I've ever seen over there in the corner' and he says 'that's no man, that's my wife,' then you've made a terrific 'faux pas.' pbs04.jpg

David High: There's a rule here that you can't grow your hair over your ears, or down by your eyebrows, or over your collar. So they don't like it when it starts getting long, they make people get it cut. They'll kick you out. pbs05.jpg

Intercom announcements:

Student: The scripture reading this morning will be taken from Psalms 19, verse 14; let's bow for a moment of silent prayer ........ Amen. pbs06.jpg
Harvey Hertenstein, principal: We also ask all members of the senior class to come by the office here sometime today, and pick up a book entitled 'Masters Of Deceit'.

Jimmy Savely (displaying book; Roger Ferguson walks by in rear.): They've got this all wrong, ya see, uh, they misguided the cover somehow; and, they ought to cover this up, and then you cover up this 'S', and there it is as it should appear. pbs1js.jpg pbs2js.jpg pbs3js.jpg pbs10.jpg
