You promised me a world unlike any other,
A world of warm hugs and soft kisses
You promised to love me until the world came to an end, and to catch me around every bend
But, you went along and make the same promises to another
And as I sit here realizing that I was not your true happiness
The tears fall from my saddened eyes
Their salt stinging my cheeks
