Talents - For Scout, Woodsman and Rogue: These are the abilities that a character gets a bonus to, both initially and when applying Bonus Checks when achieving a new Experience Level.

Talent Points: The character's Attribute scores in both of his Class Bonus Attributes determine the character's Talent Points. 15 = 1; 16 = 2; 17 = 3; 18 = 4. For example, a Scout with an INT of 16 and END of 17 has 5 Talent Points.

Using the Talent Points: Here's where we choose our Talents and assign the bonuses.

1) Number: A character must determine how many Talents the character has. The standard is 5, and the character may buy additional Talents at a cost of 1 Talent Point each.

2) Choose: The character automatically gains all the 'Natural Talents', and may choose additional from the 'Possible Talents' if his Attribute for that Talent is at least a 15. If the character wants to choose a Talent that his Attribute is less than 15, he must spend 1 Talent Point. These Talents should be noted (a '*' next to the Talents will do) for future bonuses.

Special Note, a Scout or Rogue must pay 1 additional Talent Point for 'Hand to Hand'.

3) Level Bonus: There are 2 methods to determine the number of levels gained:

3a) General: Take the number of Talent Points, divide by 2 (round up) and add that many levels to all the characters Talents. That is, 1 or 2 TPs = +1 level to all Talents, 3 or 4 TPs = +2 levels to all Talents, etc.

3b) Specific: The character may assign Talent Points to specific Talents. Each Talent Point spent will give D10 checks. First - character decides how many to buy, and which Talents will get these bonuses. Second - character rolls all D10s. Third - character assigns numbers to the pre-chosen Talents. Fourth - re-rolls (see below)...

A Prime Attribute of 15 or 16 may re-roll the 1st '1'. 17s may re-roll the 1st '1' or '2'. 18s may re-roll the 1st '1' through '3'.
