According to the MADISON STATION book the first "Hill-Billy Day" was Saturday Oct. 10, 1953. It was a fund raiser for Stratton school only. The second one was Saturday Oct. 9, 1954 and it benefitted four schools: Stratton, Amqui, Neely's Bend, and Madison High. There is a picture of Marie Parker with three other ladies in costume on page 166. Marie was Col. Parker's wife. Col. Paker was Elvis' agent. His office was a small rock house up on the corner of Gallatin Rd. and Berkley Dr. I believe.continued...
