Of Swedish-Spanish descent, Mr. Soderberg is an international performer of rich acclaim whom StARS is thrilled to present for its first recital of the new series in an all-Chopin program commemorating the 150th anniversary of the composer’s death.

A native of Clifton, New Jersey and graduate of Oberlin Conservatory, Dayle Vander Sande brings us a varied program of art songs including Italian arie antiche, works by Jacques Ibert, Fryderyk Chopin and Stephen Collins Foster in his Metropolitan Area debut recital in ensemble with the pianistic talents of Cuban-born, Elizabeth resident, Eddy Contreras.

The Aria Chorus #303 of the Polish Singers Alliance of America, established in 1964, is in its thirty-fifth season of concerts. A community choir based in Wallington, New Jersey, Aria focuses on music by Polish composers with a repertoire variety ranging from seasonal religious music of Christmas carols and Lenten liturgical music to contemporary arrangements of folk songs and classical compositions. Come hear the chorus sing their time-honored program of koledy and greet the Christmas season.

StARS Creative Director, Dayle Vander Sande and classical guitarist Francisco Roldan join in a program of art songs and solo guitar selections including composers Stanislaw Moniuszko, Joaquin Rodrigo, Phillip Houghton, John Dowland and Benjamin Britten.

All performances begin at 2:30 PM in the church unless otherwise noted.
Tickets are available at the door for a suggested donation of
$7 for adults/$5 for students and senior citizens.
