The Covadonga in Asturias

The chapel of the Covadonga is built into the rockface near a cascading "blessed" waterfall. A pilgrimage for many Spaniards.

Many years ago, this was a popular place for Asturians to say their vows. Now so many people visit the site every day, it is impossible to hold a ceremony here anymore.
