The entire crew of U-29 recieved the Iron Cross 2nd Class on September 13th, 1939. They are shown below being congratulated by Hitler, on the far left is Commander Kptlt. Otto Schuhart, who received both the Crosses. Shaking Hitler's hand is the II WO Ltnt. Ludwig Forster and on the right is Leutnant Georg Lassen, who later became an Oak Leaves recipient .
