The Tournament 50 eligible league winners, 8 seconds, and the UCL defender makes 59 teams. For the scheduling problems, UEFA limited the UCL to 56 teams only. That means upto three league winners cannot participate in the UCL. UEFA places these teams into the UEFA Cup Preliminary Round.
