Stuff About Luniz Click Here

Ice
Cube

You just have to give the man some respect. He's one of the
members of NWA , sharing fame with Dr. Dre and the late
Easy-E. He's been in movies like : Boyz 'n the Hood (as Doughboy), Higher Learning (as Fudge), Friday . He's made countless rap songs, both solos and duos. He's just the MAN. Most memorable line among all his songs : "I didn't even have to use my AK, I gotta say it was a good day."

Snoop Doggy Dog

He's just too smooth. AKA Calvin Broadus. I mean didn't he win
like Rap Artist of the Year or something like that. Also with Dr. Dre
at his back, he can't fail. Oh, ummm, whatever he did, he's innocent,
ok. He was ACQUITTED of all charges. Most memorable line among all his songs : "Rolling down the street, smoking INDO, sippin' on gin and juice.."

2Pac

Tupac was violently gunned down in the streets of Las
Vegas. Although some people say that he personified gang violence and the mean streets in his music, I believe that that was the exact lifestyle that he wanted to distance himself from. His double-CD topped the charts, proving that his listeners remained loyal. He will be remembered by a lot of people.

R Kelly

This man has been a big influence for me in the R&B scene. He
composes and produces all his songs. I have all his albums and I
treasure them. His slow and smooth beats have captured the hearts of many women. If you take a while to listen to the lyrics of his songs,
you'd know why. This man, in my opinion, is one of the best solo R&B artists right now. Most memorable line among all his songs : (from his `12 Play' album) "I don't see nothing wrong with a little bump 'n grind." (I've been looking for a site like this for the longest time...This guy really deserves some recognition.) This is a new site
that I found with sound and video clips.

Monica

It just seemed fitting that I list her name near Brandy's. Yeah,
they were deemed as rivals for a while there. At least that was at the
beginning...Monica has come out into her own limelight and she has
proof of it. Her album "Miss Thang" has 4 hits. For a 16 year old,
that's no small achievement. Billboard finally recognized Monica's
talent by giving her an award. Most memorable line : "It's just one of them days when I wanna be all alone...It's just one of them thangs...Don't take it personal.

Mariah Carey
Oh man, where can I start? Even Brandy says she is a great
singer. I'd have to agree with her. Mariah's coming out with a new
album "Butterfly". I like it, but then again I am a fan. Is it just me
or has she gotten foyner? For the critics, it's really simple, if you
don't like her songs, don't buy her CDs. Leave all the listening to those who appreciate good music. Most memorable line : "Sorry I never told
you, All I wanted to say, And now it's too late to hold you, 'Cause
you've flown away, So far away."

Keith Sweat

I've ignored this man too much. He's been in the scene for a long
time now, but his sudden reemergence has been surprising. With hits
like Twisted and Nobody, you can't deny that he has talent. He was
awarded Best Male R&B artist of the year by the American Music
Awards. Most memorable line : "I want your body, 'til the very last
drop, I want you to holler, when you want me to stop."

Hip
Hop Artists

Once again, another collection of music pages.

Hip Hop Magazines

A collection of informative magazines pertaining to Hip Hop, R&B, and
Rap music.

Have you ever listened to a song and never quite understood some of what the singer said? Many a time have I burnt the midnight oil contemplating on what Ice Cube or Snoop Dog meant in one of their songs. Well, you don't have to do that anymore! Yes, someone actually collected all these definitions which pertain to RAP. This is also a good starting point for all you "alternative" people who want to switch on over to some real music. I have to admit to sneaking a peek to this site once in a while too.

Again this page lists the top singles of R&B. It's a cool site and it
sometimes has information about the artists too.
