NOVEMBER 1999 NEWSLETTER VOL. IX #11

Mid Fall greetings to PRRH members. Now that the frost is on the pumpkin, our thoughts turn to the big chill. The November meeting of PRRH will once again be held on a Monday.

Our meeting is set for Monday night November 22 at 7:30 PM on the second floor of Phillipsburg Town Hall. Entertainment will be provided and will be announced at that time.

Thanks are in order to member Earl Brotzman for a cash donation for the good of the club treasury. Congratulations go out to Harry Wyant, our mayor-elect for the year 2000. We look forward to working with harry in the year ahead. We are also indebted to Mayor Corcoran for his wonderful and never ending cooperation with our organization. He has assisted us numerous times when timeliness was of utmost importance.

Work parties have been making progress at the site, but more progress at the site, but more volunteers are needed for us to attain our goals for this year's end. Please consider helping out at one of our work parties. I will call for help early during the week so that you can plan ahead. We are continuing the foundation preparation, and track work is also being advanced.

We will concern the membership with election time and nominations will be heard and discussed along with open positions available for the year 2000. Other items of interest will be on the agenda for discussion.

Signup's for the tour of The Black Diamond Society of Model Engineers will be accepted and the showing will be held on Tuesday night December 15 at approximately 7:30 PM. I am continuing my search for member E-mail addresses and I would like to hear from you at pmcarp5@ptd.net for this purpose or any other purpose for that matter. Dues for the year 2000 are now payable and it helps the treasury when you can pay early. We are still accepting scrap to convert to cash if you have anything you might like to hand over to us instead of the recycle bin. Finally, the lease for PU tower has been signed and returned to NJ Transit and we are close to the start of a rewarding project. See you at the meeting.
