SEPTEMBER
1999 NEWSLETTER VOL. IX #9
Hello to all PRRH members and their families. Hope you enjoyed your summer, seems likeit always goesso quickly. Thimgs are happening at the site as of late and you need to attend the monthly membership meeting which will be held at the Phillipsburg Town Hall on Wednesday September 22, 1999 at 7:30 PM in the basement. Entertainment will be provided by Rick Glosser with Conrail Tribute- Part II. This show will bring you up to date on Conrails final years.
I neglected last month to thank and acknowledge Bill Fraiser for actingon our behalf in obtaining the generous grant from Bell and Howell. Also in the thank you column, PRRH is progressing due to the efforts of Jim and Dall Anderson, Glenn Terminelli, Bob Marinelli, Bill Pennsyl, Bob Kirkpatrick, Earl Brotzman, Pete Terp, Jim Stetler, all of whom participated in a mega-work party on Satarday of Labor Day Weekend. Track work is progressing and the sweeper has been moved.Materals are being moved aand the enginehouse site is being prepared. Thanks also to Ed Beers for trimming the property. Our museum is faithfully staffed each weekend and the C&S is running with regularity. These seemingly thankless tasks are covered by the likes of Jim Mack, Pete Terp, alan, glenn Terminelli, The Winter, The Carpenito's, Ed Beers, The Bennington's, Keith Muldowny and Rick Glosser. If I have missed anyone, pleas come to me at the metting and give me heck. Thanks to Bill Pensyl for the exellent glass case donation.
