NOVEMBER 1995 NEWSLETTER VOL. IV #11 NOVEMBER 8, 1995

Phillipsburg Railroad Historians, Inc.
55 Sitgreaves Street, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865
MEETING
This month's meeting will be a week earlier than usual, on November 15th, at 7:30 PM, at Phillipsburg Town Hall. We are meeting a week early because of Thanksgiving on the following week. We will probably meet in what used to be the courtroom on the first floor, that's where we have been meeting in recent months. Member Paul Carpenito will provide the entertainment. Thanks go out to Mitch Dakleman for providing the film we watched last month, thanks Mitch.
MEMBER NEWS
For those members who weren't at last month's meeting, and don't know it, we had a fire at the building on Cross Street. This occurred the night of our member meeting. Fortunately damage was kept to a minimum. A concerned citizen walking his dog spotted the fire and phoned it in. The damage has been repaired. The fire started outside the building and could not have been accidental. The electrical service to the building has been upgraded thanks to Lou Class. Scraping of unusable material continues, to date we have raised enough money to pay for the ties we purchased for the museum site, and catch up on other bills we have incurred of the past few months. Work sessions continue even with the time change, Monday evenings, starting at 4PM at the site or in the Firehouse, and on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month.
