Thanatos
by Julia Nolan

Winged spirit of eternal rest,
Beloved brother of sleep.
Shut my tired eyes now,
And let me soar forever.

Wrap me in your arms now,
And kill with kiss divine.
No better way to die,
Give me rest forever.

Free my mind and let it fly,
O'er the hills and starry skies.
Farewell cruel earth, you faded fast,
Night blankets me eternal.
