-Identification Officer, Camden City (NJ) Police Department. June 2001 to present.
Duties:
-Process Firearms Permits to Purchase a Handgun and/or Firearms Purchaser Identification Card
-Process, review, approve/deny applications for Block Parties / Street Closures and Parades.
-Process Megan's Law registrants.
-Process and examine criminal arrest fingerprints.
-Assist Domestic Violence Unit with service of temporary and final restraining orders.
-Immigration Inspector, U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service, Philadelphia International Airport, Phila. PA, July to November 1997.
Duties:
-Inspect documentation of foreign and domestic travelers.
-Examine fingerprints for identification of illegal entries.
-Detective, Camden Police Department, Camden NJ, 1990 to 1996.
-In charge of Fingerprint Section from 1990 to 1996.
Duties:
-Classified all fingerprints and compared to those already an file for proper identification.
-Processed evidence collected at crime scenes and prepared court presentations.
-Assisted with identifications and investigations for the following agencies;
U. S. Dept. of State, U. S. Secret Service, U. S. Dept. of immigration, U. S. Customs Service, Drug Enforcement Agency, Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms Agency, New Jersey State Police, Camden County Prosecutor's Office, Camden County Coroner's Office, and the Camden County Sheriffs Office.
-Have developed an undetermined number of latent fingerprints and matched them to suspects
-Assisted in re-establishing a mobile forensic laboratory. Assisted in establishing the first in-house forensic laboratory.
-Assisted installing and operating computerized photo imaging identification system known as CompuCapture and ComPhotoFit.
-Court Certified by the United States Department of Justice as an expert in Fingerprint Identification.
-Court testimony and depositions accepted into the record in Municipal, State and Federal courts.
-Assigned to Photo Processing Section 1984 to 1991.
-Assisted in implementing color photography processing unit in 1990.
-Assigned to Records and Identification 1981 to 1990.
-Processed hundreds of crime scenes. Assisted the following Sections or Units; Photo Processing, Fingerprinting, Evidence Storage, Uniform Crime Reporting and Report Review Officer.
-Maintained and controlled sections of Central Records Section.
-Worked in Prisoner Processing Section as a Jailer and Booking Sergeant.
-Police Officer, Camden City Police Department, Camden NJ, 1967/1990.
-Developed a knowledge of Police procedure while on both mobile & foot patrol. -Participated in Safe Streets Program, Canine Unit, Strategic Relations Bureau and Tactical Force.
