The TI-99/4A Computer

The TI-99/4A Home Computer was created by Texas Instruments in the early 1980's. It was the computer that I used, when I was an evening student. TI stopped the production of the 99/4A, around 1984. This computer had only 16 bits of memory.

The Computer had a slot, for module games that you could buy for it.

You could play computer games using the key board, or with a joystick.

You could type programs in in TI basic language. If you had to save any programs you could send a sound frequency baud, that was sent to a cassette player to save the program.

The TI-99/4A Home Computer used a color TV moniter, and the screen was in color, most of the kinds of computers built back then, were only available in black and white.

The computer uses single step by step comands, but could could do multi-function commands if you had an extended basic memory module for it.

The computer had a add on adapter for a speech and sound emulator, so it could make sounds.

It was one of the personal computer leaders of its time, until the 32, 64, and 128 bit memory computer's came out, by other personal computer manufactures, after 1982.
