Welcome to the fifth Shims Green Day Club Newsletter. There isn't too much new news that I havnt already told you about in this issue but Im going to go over some stuff for the people who have just joined and just in case they don't know about it. Speaking of new members...Id like to welcome all of the new members! And also id like to mention...the Members list is SUPER outdated, I gotta get my lazy ass to start adding some names, like over 100. So I apologize if your names not on there! Just give me awhile. Well, go ahead read the newsletter and e-mail me with some feedback and ideas. Remember you are fully credited for anything you send me. Well there isnt any NEW news since the last newsletter that I can think of. So Im just going to "review" over whats been going on. Green Day are working on theyre new album, Green Day will be on a new Fat Wreck Chords comp. called Short Music for Short People Green Day will have one song on it, I heard it might be a new one. So be sure to check that out. I also heard on the Green Day E-groups list I am on that all imports from CDNOW are 30% off and they have the Redundant Singles for $8.47 each. Here is her fantasy/story After a bad day of school, i was on the bus. after putting up with my retarded friends, my crackhead bus driver dropped me off at my bus stop. i began the 2 block walk home and after 5 steps, i saw mike walking down the street in all his coolness! i dropped and my books and ran as fast as i could in his direction screaming "MIKE!!!" at the top of my lungs and thrust myself upon his greatness. at first he was startled, but then he put his arm around my shoulders and said, "hey baby, what's a girl like you doing in a ghetto like this?" i responded with, "im thrusting myself upon my true love, of course." we talked for a few minutes and then he said "hey, wanna go to Vegas and get drunk? were having a show there tonight, you can watch from the stage." i gave him a huge hug and said yes. it was a great concert, they played songs form every album and before paper lanterns, mike said "carol, this is for you. even though we've never gone out, i wish we could be more than friends." i had the biggest smile and tears streaming down my face. we had tons of fun after that, at some point, i got drunk with the band. i lost all memory of the rest of the night, but when i woke up, i was lying in a bed. i looked up and saw mike sitting in a chair. he smiled at me, and i smiled back. then i turned over, and almost cried when i saw Billie lie sleeping next to me. i looked forlornly at mike and he said "we were both drunk, we had no idea what was really happening. im soooo sorry. we can still have wild monkey sex every night if you want." and i, of course, said "OK!" so every night, i commit adultery with mike, one of Billie's best friends; until one day Adrienne came and killed billie for marrying me. i gave her a huge hug and cried "im free! thanks so much!" now, 5 yrs. later, mike and i are married and we have many children. the end *this story does not try to insult Billie in anyway, im just obsessed with mike, so being married to Billie instead of him is a sad concept to me. and of course, i know this will never happen cause i live in the ghetto and im a loser that mike would never love. this is my fantasy though* ************************************************************************************************** Song Of The Week Song: She Album: Dookie Track: 8 Lyrics She screams in silence A sullen riot penetrating through her mind Waiting for a sign to smash the silence with a brick of self control Are you locked up in a world Thats been planned out for you?
