Chapter 6
Melissa:
So after the photo shoot we were all fairly exhausted and we headed back to the hotel to get our stuff.
"I need a nap," Durbbie said picking up her bag.
"Tell be about it," I said gathering my belongings and tossing them over my shoulder. "You have everything?" I asked.
She pulled on her backpack, threw a shoulder bag over her shoulder, and picked up her two suitcases with her hands. "Yeah. I think so."
I laughed at her. I had 1 bag and she had 4. "How long are we staying again?" I teased.
Durbbie rolled her eyes at me and headed to the door. "I'll race ya to the elevator~" she called as she flew down the hallway.
I laughed, shook my head, and closed the door behind me.
Brian:
"I thought we were staying on the bus," I said as we pulled up to a hotel.
"Me too," Nick said just as confused.
Two figures appeared to come out of the hotel and came right to the bus. "Hola!" Durbbie greeted as she came aboard.
"Nice Durbs. Now move before my arms fall off," Melissa said.
"What are you guys doing here?" I asked.
"You mean they didn't tell you?" Durbbie said plopping her stuff on the nearest chair. I shook my head. "We're staying with you forever and ever and…"
I looked to Melissa for help. "Ten days," she said.
Durbbie, on the other hand, was still going. "And ever and ever and then another week and a half," she concluded and looked at me with a big cheesy smile.
"Is she always like this?" I asked Melissa as I showed her the two cleared out bunks.
"Usually," Melissa answered casually.
AJ:
I heard familiar female voice echoing through the bus.
"I thought you were leaving," I said confusedly as I met Melissa, Durbbie, and Brian in the hallway.
"Well I feel loved. What about you?" Durbbie asked.
"We're staying with you for a week and a half for more pictures," Melissa, the sane one, informed me.
"So you're stuck with us," Durbbie said hopping into a bunk. "Who's under me?" she wondered out loud and sticking her head into the bunk below. "I thought the guy was supposed to be on top~" she said.
Kevin opened the curtain to his bunk. "Oh don't tell me…" he started.
Durbbie patted his head from her perch on her bunk.
As I watched this scene between Durbbie and Kevin, I became aware of Melissa speaking to Brian.
"So you're got the top bunk. I'm right blow you and Nick's directly across if you need anything," Brian told Melissa.
"Thanks," she said glancing at Durbbie. "You'll have to excuse her. She's harmless, really; just a little high strung."
Brian laughed. "We're used to it."
I watched both scenes unfold and couldn't help but smile. This just might be an interesting trip.
