So, you wanna know who I am? Well, I'm me.
Yup, that's right, I'm me and that's all there is to it. Unless you want to know more that is. Well since you've come this far I guess I could share some things huh?
Well, first off, I'm 19 and my birthday is on February 17th. I live in a hell of a state, NEW JERSEY! The MOST boring state in this country, at least in my opinion. I have one younger brother and I come from a rather supportive family. For the most part they're supportive, but I'm not going to get into that and if you're visiting my site, then you probably know me well enough already to know of my troubles with my family. So, I'll move on.
Well, I'll tell ya of some of my interests I guess. Well, for one I write poetry, I use it as my escape from everything. I find my emotions within my poetry, even those emotions that I wasn't aware I was feeling. I also like to listen to music, that acts as an escape for me as well. I usually zone out and just listen to a song, sometimes I won't even hear the real words until the third or fourth time I listen to a song. I'm quite strange I guess, but that's just me. I listen to all kinds of music and I have about 80 CDs, compared to some people that's a lot, but I still want more, many more. Like I was saying, I listen to all kinds of music, from country to metal to rock to pop to swing. For example, I have CDs by Garth Brooks, John Michael Montgomery, Matchbox 20, Everclear, Alanis Morissette, Rob Zombie, The Brian Setzer Orchestra, and The Goo Goo Dolls. Now, personally I think that's a cool variety, but that's merely my opinion.
Alright, anyway, enough about music. What else do I like? Hmm, well to suffice Jay, I must say that I am looking forward to at least experimenting with the art of tap dancing. I keep telling him that I don't know if I'm going to get to it or if i'm going to like it, however I'm going to look into it. At least to calm my curiousity of it all.
Well, something else that I enjoy doing is helping people. Whether it's simply tutoring my friends at school (OK, get this, my friends ask me to help them understand things in their classes, well that's fine and all, except when they ask me to help it's always in my least favorite subject-MATH! But I guess i'm helpful because they always seem to learn from me, so i'm quite thankful), helping my family get through hard times or a certain situation, or if it means me helping some friend or a new person I meet with a particular problem however severe that problem is. I think of it as my "calling", I seem to be of service to many people at many different times in my life and I help them with all kinds of problems. "So, what?" you say, well, the reason I say it's my calling is because those people solve their problems, learn from them, or move on and get over it. Of course, best of all, they come back to me. If they ever have a problem again, if they need some simple advice, or they just wanna hang out with someone they know they can trust, they come back to me. I'm truly blessed with the gift of helping people, i'm told even my mere presence, voice, or prayer is helpful if I can't find a specific way to deal with a problem. To me, that's one of the greastest things in the world, to have friends, real friends that you can count on to help you when you're down. That's why I am telling anyone and everyone that visits this site--Please, if you're ever in need of a friend--someone to listen to you talk, someone to help you with a situation, someone to turn to to help you cope with a difficult problem, or someone who may be able to provide a ray of sunshine when everything in your world is gray--I ask you to turn in my direction and let me at least try to be of some assistance.
Alright, what else? Ya know something folks, now that I think about it, I either like too many things to list here, or I don't like enough things. (Personally I think it's the latter of the two that's my problem!) So, anyway, I think what I'm saying is that this is all for this page, but don't worry I know i'll come up with more things to put on here, so keep coming back (if your first time wasn't too rough!) and see what i've added.
Well, I've added stuff! Wanna see? Huh? Huh? Do ya?..Well, ask me nice and i may show ya soon...*S*.. alright alright, i'll fill ya in..*S* Well, this past summer I spent pretty much the whole thing in California visiting someone. Who you ask? Well, someone I met online and obviously hit it off with. We're actually celebrating our one year anniversary on Oct. 22 of 1999, so I guess you could say we really hit it off. But anyway, i'm adding a page about that and my experiences out there so soon enough you'll be able to come back and read all about it, plus you'll be able to read my new poetry once i get some copies of it onto my computer. So, once again I hope you float back here soon and check it out, thanks everyone!..*S* Not really new info! Alright, well here it's a whole year later, just about. I'm now moved to California. Yup, Dwayne and I will be celebrating 22 months on August 22nd of 2000. I've done quite a bit since I last updated. I've been to Vermont on vacation with the family and Dwayne. We also made a stop for a day in Montreal, Canada. That was... interesting... *L*... Went to the Ben and Jerry's factory in Vermont... NOW WE'RE ALL Ben and Jerry ADDICTS!!! It's a sad thing when at 1am you have to make an ice cream run because you're jonesing for some and can't sleep without it. *LOL*...Well, like I said I'm out in Cali with Dwayne now, just starting to get on my feet and do stuff. Other than that I'm the same ol' Ange.. So, thanks for checking in again and I hope to be back on here adding more peoms and stuff real soon. Take care y'all. UPDATE! I have an update here!!! Well now, since I've said that I guess I better put in an update huh? *L* Well, I have been out here in California permanently since August of 2000. I am taking some online classes so that I don't fall out the learning cycle and lose my geniusness. *L* Right....anywho.. what else? Well, I'm going back to visit family in New Jersey for a while in the summer so I'm looking forward to that. *S* Also, we're getting an Amazon Parrot and a chinchilla soon. I'm REALLY looking forward to that one. Maybe someday I'll get a digital camera so I can post their pictures. They're really cute. *S* Let's see.. other than that nothing much is really going on I guess. Just taking it day by day, trying to stay sane, and loving God and what He's doing in my life. *S* So, take care all.. thanks for reading.. sign my guest book if ya want to or email me if that's your cup of hot chocolate. *S*
Wow, way too long since I've added some new info huh? Well, I've been out here in California with Dwayne for almost two years now and we're actually going to move to New Jersey on July 21, 2002 (packing up a uhaul!).. and the very next day we're going to celebrate 45 months together!! Almost 4 years, if anyone can't believe it.. it's me! *LOL* Anyway, we haven't been doing much out here I guess.. There's been ups and downs of course...we've lost some loved ones, some very dear friends have moved away (though one is moving back about a month before we leave! YAH! *S*), and things haven't always gone the way we'd hoped.. but we've got three precious animals, we're finally moving to NJ so I can be close to my family, and Dwayne and I are still very happy together and hoping that soon after we're in NJ we'll get engaged and maybe within 5 years all of you wonderful, dear friends of ours that know us will be invited to our wedding. *S* Go on, keep your fingers crossed.. you know you want to *LOL* As for what we've been doing... Dwayne is going to graduate on May 25th with his AA in Liberal Studies and he hopes to get into computer stuff once we get back to NJ. He doesn't know if he'll take more classes (probably though since the college out here didn't really have a lot of computer related stuff) or what kind of job he'll get into but God will lead him to a solution. I still haven't had any luck finding an actual work at home job but I'm still hoping that that will work out. *S* Let's see, we do have our Amazon Parrot now. His name is Snickers (his previous family named him and we didn't want to try and change it on him *S*) and we really don't know how old he is because the family we got him from weren't really sure. He can be rather cranky sometimes, but we love him no matter what and we're hoping that our big cross country move will maybe help him get some of that crankiness out of him. *S* We hope to get a couple pictures of him up here.. but seeing as how it took this long just to get this update.. don't hold your breath.. because I won't be held responsible *L* We also have two chinchillas now. Moogly and Ozzy, they have kinda wacky long full names that I'll include when I get to put pics of them up *S* We got Moogly in the same trip we got Snickers (we made that trip in April of 2001)and he also came from a lady that couldn't keep him anymore though it was a different person than we got Snickers from. He's a standard grey chinchilla and by our estimates he's over a year old, probably about 16 months old or so (we think he was born in Nov. of 2000.. so you can figure out the math to correspond to whenever you're reading this *S*).. the lady he came from wasn't too positive on his age so it's a guess. *S* He's my little escape artist who can amazingly fit through a triangle shaped hole with the biggest diameter being a mere 1 inch wide.. he did that when we first got Ozzy and he was absolutely determined to get through the barrier we set up (we set it up so they could get used to each other but not have to actually be with each other for a bit) and see Ozzy. We were all quite amazed at that feat so now any cage or enclosure we think of getting has to pass the "can Moogly escape from it" test *L* Anywho.. Ozzy is our other chinnie, he's a black velvet though he's not as dark all over as other black velvets.. but he is a lot darker than Moogly and he has the TOV (Touch of Velvet) stripe on his feet. I know, this is probably confusing to those of you who don't know a lot about chinchillas but don't worry it's not really important stuff if you're never going to own a chinchilla yourself. *S* So anyway, Ozzy came to us from a family that couldn't keep him any longer and though they weren't sure of his age either we think he's the same age as Moogly or possibly a little older since he's a big bigger, so we'd say maybe 17 or 18 months old (Probably born in Sept. or Oct. of 2000 *S*). He could also just be bigger cause he's my little Faboo, short for FatBoy *S*, his big 'ol butt hangs over my hand when I hold him now. *S* And he's my "I don't wanna be held" guy.. he's drawn blood twice now when I've caught him and I guess he really didn't want to be held, oh well, chalk it up to experience. And Ozzy happens to also be my Shed-O-Matic! Chinchillas usually shed twice a year, if that, though all chins are different and some don't shed at all and some shed four times a year. However, my sweet Ozzy is an all the time shedder, it's not falling out in clumps or big patches so it's not a fur fungus, but he sheds like a cat usually does.. the type of thing where they get up after laying somewhere for a bit and there's four pounds of hair where they'd been laying.. *LOL*.. So that's something that's definitely annoying since his hair is everywhere all the time.. but.. oh well, if that's all that's wrong with him and he and Moogly are otherwise in fine health than I'm very happy to be their mommy *S* So.. I hope to get pics of them up sometime soon but I'm not promising anything. *S* So, we're moving.. as I mentioned when I began this update. It's going to be all our stuff in the 10ft uhaul, we don't have a lot so we figure the smallest will do fine *S*.. and two pet carriers and two (possibly three if my brother comes out to help us so I have more company driving than just Dwayne, sleeping chinchillas and a squawking bird *S*) humans *S* Should be exciting huh?! *S* I'm absolutely terrified of driving a small uhaul across the country (about 3,000 miles folks! *L*) and worried that we won't have enough extra money (gas, food, lodging money) but I know that God wants us back in NJ and therefore I know He'll take care of us and get us back there. *S* But it doesn't hurt to have friends and family behind us as well.. encouraging us and helping us. *S* So, just keep us in mind and I'll hopefully update again once we get back to NJ and let everyone know how it went, if I don't update before that. And if anyone has any questions on anything (chinchillas, Snickers, moving, our relationship, our faith, anything *S*) please don't hesitate to contact me.. either in my guestbook or by emailing me. Thanks everyone, take care and God Bless!! *big smile* *
Latest Update!Wow, a second update.. and it didn't take a year! There are only two things I wanted to update. One was that the family has been enlarged by one! Abigail Michelle was born Nov. 4th, 2003! She's absolutely adorable.. but then again I may be biased. *Smile* The other is that as of October 18th, 2003 I'm an engaged woman! Yup that's right, after nearly 5 years (5 years on Oct. 22nd, 2003) Dwayne proposed and I tearfully choked out a yes! If you'd like to hear the "how he proposed" story just email me and let me know. *Smile* Plans are in the making, and nothing's concrete or even really decided. But with God and time.. I know we can figure out something.. or at least I hope so. *Smile* Well that's all for now! Maybe another update will follow.... some day soon... *twilight zone music plays*
