Weather Balloon
A Radiosonde
The balloon lifts a box of weather instruments 20 miles into the atmosphere. After the balloon carries the radiosonde into the atmosphere, temperature, humidity, and air pressure are measured.  When the balloon pops, the radiosonde falls back to earth (with the help of a parachute.)
