North 2 2002/2003 Group Predictions

Hillsborough Comments - Another very strong G4 section in NJ. Manalapan is my pick but HC is a threat assuming they have their heads on straight. Hillsborough is an up and coming program and Old Bridge always seems to reload. But the pick here is Manalapan who has some of the most talented individuals in NJ.
South
Plainfield Comments - NH returns 12 starters from a team that was the G3 champion in NJ last year. They must stay healthy because depth is always an issue with NH. South Plainfield took a graduation hit but they still have talent. Wall has some studs but not the balance needed to win a section.
Delaware
Valley Comments - Del Val owns this
section and despite heavy graduation loss probably will
again. They are strong down low and will have some major
rebuilding to do in the middle and up top but they usually
reload. North Plainfield was a nice surprise last year and
return nearly their entire team. If they have improved they
can perhaps give Del Val a run for this sectional title.
Bound Brook Comments - In this section I'm pretty much going with the returning champion. Bound Brook used to own this section and may rebound but until somebody beats South River...I'll stick with them. This section does not always get 6 qualifiers, so I may be reaching on a couple. |
