Yes, this is my first FAQ so I’m a rookie at this. This FAQ is dedicated to the Girls of Harvest Moon 64. Karen, Ann, Popuri, Elli and Maria are women who are longing for a man. They are at the age of marriage, and want you to be their husband. As you read on, certain girls like certain items, or love it when you dance with them. Each girl has her own personality, shy to emotional or they really want someone to be with them for the rest of their life.

This FAQ was exclusively made for Harvest Moon Forever and for Mark’s Harvest Moon Page. No other web sites may take this FAQ unless asked permission of the author. Plagiarism of this FAQ will result in a trial and you the defendant shall be proven guilty. None of this FAQ may be produced in a web page that you will be making money off of this FAQ. (Pretty intimidating isn’t it?)

There are 5 girls in HM 64 that you can marry. Before marriage however, these girls start out with "white" hearts. Here is what I mean.

Yellow	Warming Up
Pink	Deeply in love

Gradually as the girl likes you more, her heart will rise one level. This takes time, trust me. You can tell when the heart is going to change by the rate of the beating of the heart. If it is beating fast, then the heart color will change soon.

Girls "fall" in the game when they have a yellow heart. Make sure you bring them home and not ask for help.

IMPORTANT: I’ve noticed that the girls won’t marry another man unless YOU are married. This lets you wait a year to get her picture or present, remember this key fact.

Here is a complete list of the girls and everything you need to know about them.

Her Fall- When she falls, she will be by the tree near the carpenter’s house, bring her home.

Popuri is one of the easiest to get into a pink heart, what does she like? Flowers. Any kind is fine with her. She also likes strawberries too. Since flowers are only found in 2 seasons, stock up and put them in your cabinets (buy it from Rick’s Tool Shop). Talk with her everyday if possible and dance with her at all festivals.

She can be found on the Summit (top) of Moon Mt., near the carpenter’s house, inside the Flower Lillia if it is raining, outside the shop watering plants, and on Sundays found at Green Ranch.

Although she doesn’t have a large background, she is good friends with her family and is good friends with the old couple at the summit of Moon Mt.

Favorite Gift- Berries (purple or red, doesn’t matter), (also likes strawberries and anything raw like tomatoes)

Her Fall- When she falls, she will be near the tree in the vineyard, pick her up and bring her home.

Karen, like Popuri is also easy to get because her favorite gifts are in Spring and Fall. Stock up on these in your refrigerator for Summer and Winter (unless you grow strawberries in Winter).

She is usually found at the vineyard, the beach or the woods. She is never seen in town except at the bar at night.

Karen has a horrible relationship with her father. She can’t understand him, and he can’t understand her, a bad mixture. Her mom was a famous and graceful dancer before she had Karen, she stopped when she married her husband because she had to help with the vineyard. Her genes were passed down to Karen and now she loves to dance, and dances and the beach, according to Stu, the black-haired kid. Karen soon will want to leave in the 2 nd year, so make sure you have her in a pink heart first, making her first priority. If so, you will see a clip of her about to leave with Elli sobbing, beckoning her not to leave. She will stay…If you see her at the beach with her mother, beckoning her not to leave, she will be gone forever, and that will be the time to restart the game.

Her Fall- This happens automatically, it is right outside of your farm, just carry her home.

Even though wool is her very expensive gift, it is still and good idea to buy 2 sheep just for moneys sake. Potatoes and corn are in two seasons too, so you have an opportunity to really give her what she wants.

She is usually found at Green Ranch, or inside the barn if it is raining, also near the fishing pond, the goddesses pond, and inside Rick’s tool shop.

Ann’s mother died when Ann was just an infant. Now her brother acted as the mom of the family. He cooked and took up vigorous work at the ranch. Ann is always complaining about how bad she is at cooking since she never had too, but proudly talks about her talent as a knitter. Karen and her are also best friends because they always share their feelings with each other, and feel safe when they’re together.

Make sure that when Cliff arrives, that you become friends with him, even though he will marry Ann later. This is because if you marry someone else, Ann should have a husband and a baby at that too. You will want to make other people happy, and you will feel more accomplished in the game. You’ll be able to see their baby and new conversations with them too.

Elli likes milk and eggs equally, so the best idea is to give her eggs. If you have to, have to give her milk, it does not matter what milk size it is. She also loves to fish too. Remember that she also likes it when you buy cakes from her shop and sells them to you.

She can be found in the bakery, the beach fishing, near the fishing pond and near the carpenter’s house.

When Elli’s father died, she left her mother to work with the kind man Jeff. The two had a friendly relationship too. She often fishes on her days off at the beach or the mountains. Jeff fishes too, but Elli is very attached to the sport, even if doesn’t catch many fish.

Her Fall- When she falls, she will be in the library, next to a book. Bring her home.

Since cabbage is a crop only grown in spring, you must buy a greenhouse and grow them there, or just give her something else, like eggs.

She can be found in the library, mayor’s house, fishing pond and near the carpenter’s house.

Maria is the only girl in HM who has both parents living and has a loving relationship with them both. She never puts-down her mother or father except when she says her dad is kind of weird (something we can agree on). She never talk with any of the other girls in harvest moon but she likes Harris a lot. Harris sticks up for her when she is trouble, or writes love letters to her too.

Dreams happen 1 to 3 days after you change a girl’s heart to yellow. The dream will take place during the night and is like a flash back from when you were kids. After the dream takes place, the result will eventually talking or saving a girl. The dream happening takes place the day you had the dream or the day after you had the dream. ALWAYS when they ask you, "Was it you?" answer yes.

Popuri- you will have a dream about a girl trying to pick a flower but she fell off a cliff.

This is your hint to go to the woods and go to the carpenter’s house. If you hear someone saying, "Hey!" or "Help!" that means that Popuri is hanging off a cliff, and you have to save her. Climb up the tree by pressing A and when at her hands, press A again to lift her up to safety.

Karen- you will have a dream about a girl falling into a hole but her dad gets her out of it.

This is your hint to go to the vineyard and go inside the wine cellar. Karen will greet you inside (even if she was outside at the time), and bring you downstairs on a tour. The tour will abruptly end when you get locked inside. Go to the top right-hand corner of the room and press A where you see the crack in the wall. This is a secret passageway and will lead you outside.

This is your hint to go to the woods, near the carpenter’s house. Near the tree will be Ann, talk to her, and she’ll show you a baby bird.

This is your hint to head to the Village but the part near the Library. You will see May and Stu talking about mudpies. Elli will cut in and talk to you.

Maria- you will have a dream about books (I’ve done this but I forget the exact wording)

This is your hint to go to the library. A book will be on the table. Pick it up with A and she’ll ask if you gave it to her. Say yes and she’ll be pleased.

In order to get the photo with certain girls (Elli, Ann, and Maria) they must be in Pink hearts (that’s how I got them) and you can’t be married ( for the pictures with Elli, Ann and Maria and Karen). The other two just involves certain steps. Here they are.

Popuri- to get her pic, in the second year, Basil (her father), will have the Blue-mist flower. Buy it for 500G and go outside. Popuri will meet you, and the two of you will go in the forest to plant it. Water it everyday and it will become a beautiful plant. Once it is fully sprouted, Popuri will meet you and leave. Visit the plant everyday and soon the enmotologist will be there to take the picture with you and Popuri at your side.

Karen- for this one, get the Heaven’s Gate wine from the bartender by giving him berries or other food. After 3 or 4 days he’ll give it to you. REMEMBER: You cannot be married in order to get the wine. Once you have the wine, become good friends with the little harvest sprites. Once they are friends with you, they should talk about the wine and the harvest goddess. After that, deposit an offering at the goddess’s pond. A new menu will open up, and click it. She will take you to the vineyard to talk with the tree god. Wait until the second Fall and stay up late every day until Karen comes by. She will bring you to the vineyard to watch the Kifu fairies dance.

Ann- have her in a pink heart and one day (in Winter) Ann will come by and ask if you can come with her. Say yes and she’ll bring you to the woods to watch the very rare Pika bunny.

Elli- have Elli in a pink heart and one day (in Fall) she will come by to ask you if you have time to come with her. Say yes and she will also bring you to the woods to see the moon-drop water.

Maria- have her in a pink heart and in the Summer on the 3^rd she will come and take you to see fireflies.

You cannot be married to get these. I noticed that in order to get presents from the girls there are some steps.

After a while, the girl might give the same gift to you twice! I only have Karen’s gift so please e-mail me on the others.

In order to marry the girl of your dreams, the must have a pink heart, and have a kitchen built. After that, check Rick’s Tool Shop everyday until the Blue Feather comes into stock. Buy it and use it like a tool by pressing B while you are facing the girl. You will be married the coming Sunday at church. A photo will be taken at the special event

After you are married, your wife will do chores for you like watering plants, feeding livestock, or picking up eggs. This will become helpful, but sometimes you might want the eggs for a special reason, or your wife will drop them.

A season or so after your marriage, your wife will remark that she is sick, or hungry or really hungry. Keep giving her gifts and approx. 2 seasons after she talks about this, you will have a newborn baby that YOU yes, YOU will be able to name. After the midwife delivers the baby it will be held in its bed. IMPORTANT: If your baby is ever sick, call the midwife.

Your baby is now in its baby stage and is wrapped in a blanket. Pick it up everyday if you can.

Two or three seasons later, your baby will be crawling, you can pick him up too.

Four seasons later, your baby will be in the walking stage, you can talk to him by pressing A and you can give him gifts too to make him happy.

If you keep giving him food, he will start to say words and whole sentences! E-mail me on what your baby can say and you be credited!!!!!!!!!

It is said that your baby can later help you with chores and go to school, I will say this is a myth until proven true.

Now here is my favorite section, the Happenings section! Happenings will happen between two girls talking to each other, or a boy and a girl talking to each other. Example: Karen’s leaving. Get your pens and pencils ready to write down the ENTIRE script or dialogue and e-mail it my way! Here is a starter.

Popuri: Here you go Maria. The green caterpillar I told you about yesterday *hands over cookie bag with caterpillar inside*.

Popuri: Yep. It’s a real pest to flowers so I have to get rid or them but…Maria is curious.

Maria: Oh, it turns into a beautiful butterfly. It’s kind of cute too. *Nods* But it’s such a shame that they eat leaves.

Popuri: Right, and it’s also natural that spiders and birds eat green caterpillars. There’s no help for it.
