Staryu Family
Staryu 40HP Starmie 60HP
Slap: 20dmg. (1wat)

Recover: remove a wat Energy to remove all damage counters from Starmie. (2wat)

Star Freeze: 20dmg. Flip a coin heads to paralyze defender. (1wat, 2clr)

Weak: ele Retreat 1 Weak: ele Retreat 1
The're very good when you don't want to spend much money, as they're both common. Also, Starmie's Recover is very useful.
Seel Family
Seel 60HP Dewgong 80HP
Headbutt: 10dmg (1wat)

Aurora Beam: 50dmg. (2wat, 1clr)

Ice Beam: Flip a coin heads to paralyze defender. (2wat, 2clr)

Weak: ele Retreat 1 Weak: ele Retreat 3
They're okay because Seel has 60HP, giving you ample time to get out Dewgong, who's pretty strong.
Poliwag Family
Poliwag 40HP Poliwhirl 70HP Poliwrath 90HP
Water Gun: 10dmg. Add 10 dmg for each wat Energy on Poliwag not used to pay for Water Gun. (+20 max)(1wat)

Amnesia: Choose one of defender's attacks. That PKMN can't use that atttakc next turn. (2wat)

Doubleslap: 30dmg x number of heads on two flips. (2wat 1clr)

Water Gun: 30dmg. Add 10 dmg for each wat Energy on Poliwag not used to pay for Water Gun. (+20 max)(1wat)

Whirlpool: 40dmg. If defender has any Energy cards, choose one and discard it. (2wat, 2clr)

Weak: gra Retreat 1 Weak: gra Retreat 1 Weak: gra Retreat 3
If you pack your deck with 28 or 29 energy, these guys will serve you very well. Also, Poliwrath's Whirlpool is a great addition to an Energy discard deck.
Magikarp Family
Magikarp 30HP Gyarados 100HP

Tackle: 10dmg (1clr)

Flail: 10dmg x number of damage counters on Magikarp. (1wat)

Dragon Rage: 50HP. (3wat)

Bubblebeam: 40HP. Flip a coin heads to Paralyze defender. (4wat)

Weak: ele Retreat 1 Weak: ele Resist: -30 fght Retreat 3
ALWAYS evolve Magikarp on the bench. 30HP is a bad risk to have out. But Gyarados is very, very good. He's about as good as most third stage POKeMON.
Squirtle Family
Squirle 50HP Wartortle 70HP Blastoise 100HP

Bubble: 10dmg. Flip a coin heads to Paralyze defender. (1wat)

Withdraw: Flip a coin heads to prevent opponent from dealing damage to Squirtle next turn. (1wat, 1clr)

Withdraw: Flip a coin heads to prevent opponent from dealing damage to Squirtle next turn. (1wat, 1clr)

Bite: 40dmg. (1wat, 2clr)

POWER: Rain Dance: You can put as many wat Energies down as you want, and it doesn't counter toward your one-energy-per-turn.

Hydro Pump: 40dmg. Add 10dmg for each additional wat Energy on Blastoise not used to pay for pump. Extra energy after the first two don't count. (3wat)

Weak: ele Retreat 1 Weak: ele Retreat 1 Weak: ele Retreat 3
Rain Dance will serve you well with the like of the Poliwag family.
