It had been over a week since their adventure with all the time loops and the Mutant Crew was seriously bored.  Not a little bored; not doldrums bored; but BORED!  They needed something to do or else they'd go crazy.
     The Starlights had taken a vacation / tour to the Bahamas for a couple weeks.  Josselin and Juliet went on a mountain biking tour of the state.  Tod, Steve, Dan, Richard, and Tony were at Tod's vacation house in Florida.  Alexandra, Michelle, Susana, and Nichole were at Susana safe house in the forests of England.  Everyone else was at Alex's playing video games and just crashing.
     Without much activity in their lives, the Mutant Crew was seriously in a rut.  How could they fight crime and evil if there was no crime or evil to fight.  The way it stood was Derek and Amanda passed out in each other's arms, Matt testing new morphing powers, Jubilee, Jess, Cathy, and Lizz talking about girl stuff on the internet, Alex standing on the porch roof using his light powers to create different patterns in the night sky, and Brian was nowhere to be seen, but he was someplace because his clothes kept appearing in Alex's room.
     After two weeks of sheer uneventfulness, Alex glued his face to the computer screen in hopes of finding something eventful in the world.  Finally, after five days and nights, he discovered something interesting.
     "Hey, guys!"  he called to the rest of the people in the house, "I've found someplace where we can get away from boredom and have fun at the same time!"
     "Where's that?"  Cathy asked through a yawn.
     "The southern lights festival!"
     "What are we waiting for?!"  Brian asked, crawling out of the entrance to Alex's lab (aka, his closet), "Let's hit the sky!"
     "First things first, we need to contact the others and have them return to the house.  AFter that I'll try out a new teleport move I've been working on."
     "Sure thing,"  Jess said, activating her communicator, "This is central command calling all Mutant Crew members.  Use whatever means possible to return to Alex's.  We have a mission."

     In the Bahamas, the Starlights received the word and blew it off because they were booked solid.  But they did have the common courtesy to call ahead and tell the others about their predicament.

     When Josselin and Juliet received the word, they had just biked up Mount Washington.  They immediately took to the sky and headed for Alex's house.

     The four mysterious Outer Senshi couldn't be reached, but Jess did leave a message on their answering machine.

     The five at Tod's vacation house in Florida used a Gemini Teleport sequence in order to get to Alex's.

     By the time everyone arrived at Alex's, it was rather early the next morning.  The group clustered around Alex in the back yard in wait of his new teleport move.
     As soon as Alex was ready, he said to everyone, "Form a circle around me and don't stray too far.  I just have a twenty foot radius to this move."
     As soon as everyone was in position, Alex continued.
     "Hang on 'cause it's going to be a bumpy ride.  Phoenix Teleport!"
     As he said that, several beams of energy shot from his feet, extending to the maximum radius.  The beams then began to circle around until there was a full circle of red energy.  The circle shot up to form a pillar of red energy, which soon formed a disk which disappeared in a flash of light.

     The disk reappeared in the middle of the Antarctic Ocean.  The pillar reappeared and dumped the teens into the cold drink.  Lucky for them Alex, Lizz, Jess, and Jubilee used their mystical beasts or else they would have frozen to death.
     The moment they were safely on an ice flow, Alex and Jess used the energy fields of the Phoenix and the Flame Sphinx to dry everyone off and warm them up.  As soon as this had been accomplished, they continued on their adventure.
     The approached a large cave in the ice flow.  Above the cave was a large sign that read, "Southern Lights Festival inside."
     "I guess we're here!"  Joss(elin) said when he saw the sign, "Kinda strange, but it's written in French."
     "From here it's in Spanish,"  Alex said, "Glad I took four years of that class."
     "It's in English,"  Jess said, "Or, at least that's what I'm reading."
     "It's in Chinese,"  Jubilee said, "though I can't read it."
     "This is really strange,"  Tony said.
     "I wish the Outer Senshi and the Starlights were here,"  Matt said.
     "You're only saying that because you have a crush on Sailor Saturn,"  Tod teased.
     Just as the two were about to go at each other's throats, a shower of stars announced the arrival of the Starlights.  A flash of violet light revealed the four Outer Senshi.  The seven joined the Mutant Crew in the puzzle of the sign.
     "This is written in Ancient Hyrulian,"  Susana said as she studied the sign.  "Very strange,"  she mumbled as she walked around to the side.  "Very interesting,"  she said from the ridge above the sign.  "This should take care of it,"  she said as she shoved the butt end of her staff between the sign and the ridge.  She then applied pressure and a couple seconds later the sign became a blank panel
     When Susana jumped down, Juliet asked, "What did you do to it?"
     "I simply disconnected it from its power source.  Seems like it's mind oriented.  It taps into your dormant brain waves and makes it appear in your ancestral language."  Susana explained.
     "Very strange,"  Chris said, "Why would anyone do that?"
     "What if this is all a trap?"  Eddie asked.
     "Who cares,"  Cathy snapped, "this is an adventure and I for one am glad we're here!"
     "Well, let's proceed,"  Amanda said, grabbing a hold of Derek's arm and dragging him into the darkness.  A flash of light followed as the two entered.  The Mutant Crew, seeing as how the other two weren't going to be out for a while, followed in entering the cave.  What they saw on the inside was another world.

     The inside of the cave was aglow, though there was no visible source of light.  Once again Alex and Jubilee picked up the front and the rear of the excursion through the chambers.  Though the plasmoids offered some comfort, they weren't necessary in maintaining a descent light level.  As they walked on, they could find no sign of Derek and Amanda.  They then decided to split up and look for the two.
     After searching for what seemed like hours, they regrouped and heard the same bad news from each and every person.
     "There's no sign of Derek and Amanda!"
     They sat down in despair, tired from the whole ordeal.  They then drifted into a deep slumber.  While they slept they dreamed.

     Alex awoke with a start, followed by everyone else.  He then said, "I know where Derek and Amanda are!"
     "Same here!"  Dan said.
     "Ditto."  Richard said.
     "What are we waiting for!?"  Michelle exclaimed, "Our friends need saving!"
     With that they hit the afterburners as they charged to their friends' rescue.  Chamber after chamber passes by as they followed the course given to them by Alex.  After the fifty first chamber they came upon the room where the monsters should have been contained.  But the pillars had been shattered and nearby lay the bodies of the monsters.  Derek and Amanda were huddled in one another's arms and there was someone standing in front of them, his plasma rifle raised, his eyes glowing through the face plate of his helmet.
     The stranger put his gun back in its holster, raised the face plate, and said, "Hey, you guys missed the party!"
     "Williams!"  Alex exclaimed, "You asshole.  Why didn't you tell me you were a mutant?!"
     "Didn't find out until today,"  the stranger said, "Woke up earlier tonight after having a strange dream where two people I should know had been attacked by two creatures.  I teleported to your lab in a state of slumber, built this armor system, and teleported in here.  I saw the monsters and used most of my armor's power to defeat them."
     Alex turned to his friends to meet a group of death stares.  He then said, "Um... Shawn, I'd like you to meet the Mutant Crew.  Everyone, this is Shawn Williams."
     "Woah, what a cutie,"  Nichole said as she checked Shawn from all angles.
     When Matt saw this, his ego took a beating.  His heart broke and his jaw dropped.  Dan walked over to him, put his arm on Matt's shoulder, and said, "Don't worry, there'll be others."
     "Yeah, whatever,"  Matt grumbled.
     As the two friends watched Nichole and Shawn, the rest of the Mutant Crew entered the portal and were warped to the Southern Lights Festival.  When the other four realized they were alone, Nichole grabbed a hold of Shawn's hand and Matt's hand and said, "Let's go!"
     The four then entered the portal to the festival.  There they could make their dreams come true.

     As they entered the cavern, there were colored lights everywhere.  The walls, the ceiling's, even the floor, were alive with colorful lights.  The larger portion of the group was staring at the dancing lights, mesmerized by the color and the movement.  A red light approached Matt and revealed one of his major fantasies.

     "Hey, what the hell are you looking at!?"  Matt screamed at the crowd of people who had gathered around while he was mesmerized by the red light which revealed his fantasy.
     "Um... nothing,"  Richard said, breaking a minute long silence.
     "Well, if you are going to watch my very private fantasy, then perhaps I should be permitted to view one of your personal dreams or fantasies!"
     No sooner had Matt spoken then a green light flew by Richard, turned around, and revealed to all one of his secret dreams.

     Richard broke down in tears, the memory of the dream too much to bear.  He turned to Dan and said, "I never meant for anyone to know about that dream."
     "It's not your fault,"  Dan said, giving a reassuring smile, "our sub - conscious mind can do some funky things."
     "I don't like this,"  Alex said, a wave of fear washing over him, "this place is revealing some of our deepest dreams and secrets."
     "Well, why don't we see one of your dreams!"  Tony said sarcastically.
     "That wouldn't be wise."
     "Why not?"  Dan taunted, "Are they that bad?"
     Just then a violet light passed in front of Alex and revealed one of his worst fears.

     The dream ended before anything else could happen.  Everyone looked at Alex as he stared in open - mouthed shock.
     "I never knew,"  Shawn said.
     "How awful,"  Chris gasped.
     "Now you know my worst fear,"  Alex said, his voice trembling, "I have that same dream over and over and it turns out the same every time."
     "But we're here now,"  Jess said.
     "And we're going to help you defeat this thing,"  Jubilee said.
     "Let's get dreaming!"  Derek said,
     They formed a circle and fell into a deep sleep, hoping to find the cause of the trouble and defeat it.

     First, there was darkness.  Then a pegasus appeared and granted Amanda and Juliet new powers.  Everyone then appeared in their own mini dreams, with them being in control this time.

     The agent of the Negaverse appeared next to Freddy and said, "Hello darling.  I took care of those Mutants like you said."
     "No you didn't!"  Freddy snarled, "They're still here and more powerful than ever!"
     The Starlights, hearing the exchange of angry words, turned to see Freddy and his girlfriend.  They then went into a four way attack.
     "Star Serious Laser!"
     "Star Gentle Uterus!"
     "Star Sensitive Inferno!"
     "Star Aurora Flash!"
     With four powers going, they were assured of winning.  The two nightmare enemies began to absorb the energy and drain the Starlights.  With the fight going on, the Starlights kept on blasting with everything they had.  Pretty soon the Gemini Senshi joined in the attack on the female who was battling with the Starlights.
     "Star Fire Storm!"
     "Ultima Thunder Force!"
     "Diamond Saw!"
     "Prism Beam!"
     With eight powers concentrated upon a single person, the energy build-up was intense.  Pretty soon the lady's metallic outfit began to glow, signaling to all she was about to blow.
     "This doesn't look good,"  Derek said, "We're too close to her.  She goes, we all go!"
     "We need Scout Power!"  Juliet said.
     "We're so on top of it!"  the other Sailor Senshi said.
     "Not so fast,"  Shawn said, "give me a chance to show my true potential."
     "Ok, go for it,"  Alex said, "we need all the fire power we can get!"
     No sooner had Alex replied that Shawn activated an armor pack, which became a full out Exo - frame faster than any had seen.  Shawn activated the weapon systems, targeted the female, and gave the command.
     Scout energy flowed from each gun port, collecting around the broadcast antenna located on the top of the Exo - frame.  Soon enough the energy erupted from the antenna in a wave of raw scout power.  The wave struck the female and a couple seconds later she was no more.
     The Starlights and Gemini Senshi, relieved of  their target, dropped back in order to catch a quick breath or two.  Kruger, thoroughly enraged at the destruction of his female companion, fired off a few rounds of energy bolts, which struck Jess, Jubilee, Lizz, and Cathy.  Four crystals appeared from colorful flowers and floated over to Kruger.  The four scouts, now powerless and dying fast, said their good-byes to their friends before they faded into nothingness.
     The Mutant Crew, now missing four of their strongest female fighters, launched an all out attack on Kruger, using all the tricks and powers, the hints and attacks, the weapons and items from their many battles.  But at all costs they needed to protect the Pegasus.

     The four Outer Senshi produced their talismans and proceeded to attack Kruger with their most powerful attacks.
     "Space Sword... Blaster!"
     "Submarine... Reflection!"
     "Death Ribbon... Revolution!"
     "Dead Scream.
     The four attacks struck Kruger with such force that he was thrown off of his throne, which was destroyed by Susana's Dead Scream.  But Kruger, being pretty much immortal, regained his position and released another volley of blasts, which rocked the world of the four Outer Senshi to the ground.  Alexandra, Susana, and Nichole stood up and prepared for another attack, this time shielding Michelle's body so Star Healer could give first aid to her.  At this point they were running out of options so they decided upon a triple attack.
     "World... Shaking!"
     "Dead Scream."
     "Silence Glaive Apply!"
     With the combined power of the three destructive attacks, Freddy was rocked to his knees and sent flying.  But he soon returned with more minions of the Negaverse to back him up.  But the Outer Senshi, the Starlights, and the Gemini Senshi stood strong.  They surrounded the Negaverse people and unleashed their ultimate combined attack.

     The Mutant Crew awoke in the cave, the lights still dancing the same way they had before they slept.  Only Shawn was missing, the place where he had been sleeping a puddle of molten material.
     "He's... gone,"  Nichole said, her eyes dropping to the floor.
     "He may be gone, but he brought us back,"  Jess said, "he really was a great guy."
     "I don't think we've seen the last of him,"  Alex said as he kneeled by the puddle.  He picked up a micro - disk and inserted it into his VR visor.  A couple clicks of the controls set it so all could see the message.  The holographic grid flickered to life and the message played.
     "Hi y'all,"  the figure said, "I guess you found my disk, which probably means I just saved your butts.  But don't worry, I'll be back.  And Matt, take good care of Nichole while I'm gone.  C-ya, wouldn't wanna be ya!"
     With that the message ended.  Everyone stared in awe as the disk became a butterfly which flew off.  After a couple minutes they regained their senses and proceeded to exit, forgetting that exiting the strange place would be harder than entering.
     After traveling through the passages for a few hours, they finally decided to blast their way out.
     "One more time,"  Derek said as his weapon reappeared.  He wound up and pitched the ball forward.  The mourning star crashed through the wall and demolished the entire structure.  The five possessing mystical creature powers were ready to take to the sky until they saw another wall and no end in sight.
     "This is getting old fast,"  Jess said.
     "I'll solve this problem,"  Susana said, producing her staff, "Dead Scream."
     The blast took out the wall, only to show yet another wall.  Had this been an anime everyone would have face faulted and sweat drops would have appeared on their heads.  Nichole, being the only one who appeared to be sick of the adventure who was still rational, produced her glaive and prepared for an attack.
     "Everyone, get back,"  she growled, "things may become explosive."
     As soon as everyone was safe, she initiated her power.
     "Silence Glaive Apply!"
     The resulting explosion blew everyone away and blew out several more walls in every direction, but they were no closer to leaving the strange structure.
     "This is definitely getting old,"  Nichole panted.
     "We've tried almost all of our powerful attacks and we aren't any further along than when we began,"  Matt said.
     "I'm getting sick and tired of this,"  Tod said, slamming his fist into a wall.  The wall crumbled to show yet another chamber.
     "Why don't we try using scout power?"  Steve suggested.
     "Ya' know, that just might work,"  Jubilee said, "in theory we could waste this whole structure without destroying the passage to the lights.
     "Let's try it,"  Alexandra said as she grabbed Michelle's and Nicole's hands.
     The Sailor Senshi, the Outer Senshi, the Starlights, and the Gemini Senshi joined hands to form a large circle.  Dan, Derek, Tony, and Joss joined the circle since they also possessed Sailor powers.  Brian realized his Sailor Powers just before they began the attack.
