Episode 14.5
Reality Masking Anime

     It was a peaceful day in Newport, NH.  The town was always quiet, but it was especially quiet on this day.  The local grocery store was one especially busy spot, but even on this day it was really boring.  Bill Patten, a cashier at the store, was staring out the large picture window at the passing cars and people and let out a sigh that was heard by most of the people around him.  Two people, both with dyed hair, and both his friends, walked over to his register and asked, "What's wrong Bill?"
     "Rich, Dan, I'm just day dreaming,"  Bill said, "I am so bored with just working here.  I wish I was something more."
     "Like what?"  Matt Emmerton asked as he walked over to the register.
     "I don't know.  I wish I had super powers, like Sailor Moon and the Sailor Senshi."
     Just then hyena like laughter filled the front end of the store and five girls made tracks for Bill's register.
     "Calm down Serena,"  a blond said to the laughing girl.
     "Yeah Meat Ball Head!"  a raven haired girl said, "You're making a scene!"
     "Oooooh, don't call me that Rei!"  the girl said rather sharply.  Everyone noticed her hair, because it was up in meat balls, with long pig tails.
     "Serena,"  a tall amazon like brunette said, "Let's get out of this store before something bad happens."
     "I'm with Lita,"  a girl with short blue hair said, "we should leave.  We need to meet at the temple."
     "Ok, ok,"  Serena said, "Lita, Mina, Ami, Rei, I'll meet you outside."
     The other four girls left Serena at Bill's register.  Serena took a stack of comic books and put them on Bill's register belt and began to fumble for her money.  When she got the money out she looked up to face four pairs of eyes.
     "Uh, hi,"  Serena said, feeling awkward
     "Hi,"  Bill, Dan, Rich, and Matt said at the same time.
     "Are these all?"  Bill asked, ringing up the comics, "X - Force, Generation X, Dragon Ball... all these are my favorites."
     "Cool,"  Serena said as she paid for the comics.
     "Would you like a bag for that?"  Rich, Dan and Matt asked.
     "Sure.  One paper bag for each book."
     The three bagged the comics and gave them to Serena, who began walking out the door.  She managed to get to the door and was stepping out when she fell flat on her face.  They heard Rei's voice screaming at Serena.  They then went back to being bored.
     "Bill, did you finish that new Sailor Moon N story yet?"  Matt asked.
     "Yup.  It's called 'Sonic Boom' and one of the main characters is Darren, aka Warrior Night."
     "And what does he look like again?"  Dan asked.
     "You know... purple hair, brown eyes, facial piercings... like the guy down on express with the girl who looks like Jubilee."
     The other three looked at the express lane where the two people were.  They all gasped in shock at how close to the drawings they looked.
     Just then they heard a scream and looked out the window, just in time to see the Sailor Senshi battling a giant bee.  They stared in shock, wondering what was going on.
     "Are you three seeing what I'm seeing?"  Bill asked.
     "Are you seeing the Sailor Senshi trying to destroy a giant bee?"  Dan asked.
     "Yup, that's what I see,"  Rich said, "Matt, you seeing that?"
     "Yes, and I don't know why we're standing around when the Sailor Senshi might need some help,"  Matt said.
     "You can't fight them like that!"  a voice said.  They looked over the register at a black cat with a gold crescent moon on its forehead.
     "Luna, right?"  Dan asked.
     "How.... how did you know?"  Luna stammered.
     "No time.  Can you give us powers to help the Sailor Senshi?"  Matt asked.
     "Yes, I can endow your clay power items with powers to change you into Warriors."
     "Well, there are more of us here who are members of our own little Sailor Moon team,"  Richard said.  He motioned for Steve Young, Lizz Newton, Jenn Lynn, James Stanley, and Nick Rosato to come over.  They walked over to the register and prepared to accept the responsibility.  Luna concentrated and her crescent moon glowed, creating a beam which located the power items of the others and charged them.  Once this was done they crouched down behind the registers and transformed.

 "Arctic Chill Nova Power.... "
 "Sun Nova Power.... "
 "Flame Sphinx Nova Power... "
 "Venus Nova Power... "
 "Mars Nova Power.... "
 "Jupiter Prism Power... "
 "Star Blaze Star Power... "
 "TRANSFORM!!!"
     Rings of ice surrounded Bill, spinning and forming violet chest and shoulder armor with gauntlets of the same color trimmed with black and gold, black baggy pants, and black and royal violet leather boots.  His weapons were throwing stars and knives, a pair of daggers, and a star sword, not to mention his glaive.  Everyone else had some sort of armor and weapons.  They ran out of the store, drawing a lot of attention, especially from the front end manager.  Once outside they joined up with the Sailor Senshi, who immediately demanded to know who they were.  They all began their own introductions.
     "I'm Warrior Saturn, and on behalf of the planet which wears rings I shall defeat evil where ever it rears its ugly head."
     "I'm Warrior Arctic Chill and you're gonna get frost bite!"
     "I'm Warrior Hellfire, and I'm gonna burn you up!"
     "I'm Warrior Sun, and unless you worship me I'm gonna burn you with my flaming temper!"
     "I'm Warrior Flame Sphinx, and the flames of justice are burning and I'm the one in control!"
     "I'm Warrior Mars, and believe me I'm not clowning around.  I call upon my firebird.  I will vanquish you!  I'm Warrior Mars!"
     "You're thinking I'm just another handsome blond, but in my case what you see is definitely not what you get.  Warrior V is for victory.  I'm Warrior Venus!"
     "You want trouble pal!?  You're looking at it!  My name is trouble!  I'm Neo - Sailor Jupiter!"
     "I'll blow you away.  I'm Sailor Star Blaze!"
     "Oh, good, more to play!"  the insect creature taunted, "My insect friends, come, destroy these annoying creatures!"
     All sorts of insects swarmed forth, covering the Sailor Senshi and Warriors with stinging, biting, buzzing creatures.  After a few minutes of discomfort Sailor Mercury used her bubbles to chill the air to the point where the bugs dropped off.  When the insect creature saw this it began beating its wings rapidly, creating a gale force wind which began to blow the Senshi away.  They battled the force of the gusts, but unfortunately they began to slip backwards.
     "This.... is... really... bad!"  Warrior Saturn said, "Jupiter, your plasma chain.  I need it."
     "Right,"  Neo - Sailor Jupiter said, "Jupiter Plasma Bolt Chain!"
     The antenna extended from her tiara and a super large bolt of lightning struck.  She then took the plasma whip and tossed it to Warrior Saturn.  Saturn produced his Star Hammer, tied the chain to it, and flung it through the air.  The chain wrapped around a lamp post and held.  Saturn grabbed hold of Sailor Venus, who conjured up her Love Chain and they tied the two together.  Venus then held onto the end of the chain and rode it to the end, where she held fast.
     Saturn, on the other hand, held close to the front and helped the others grab onto the life line.  Once that was done they could do nothing more than hold on for dear life.  The insect beat its wings faster and faster, taking the winds up to the 300 MPH range.
     "We need to hold on!"  Sailor Mars said.
     "I don't know how much longer I can manage!"  Sailor Moon panted, "My hands are slipping!"
     Sailor Moon let go and began to fly backwards, but she was caught and reeled in by Hellfire's and Arctic Chill's strong arms.
     "Mars, can your use your Celestial Fire?"  Warrior Sun asked.
     "I can try,"  Sailor Mars replied.  She wrapped her legs and one arm tightly around the chain.  She then drew a circle of flame with her free hand.  Once the circle was drawn, it was just a matter of aiming the rings at the insect creature and firing.
     "Burning Mandala!"
     Ring after ring flew through the air, all meeting with the winds and being blown out like a candle flame.  Upon seeing this, Mars whined, "He snuffed my fire!"
     "Who cares about your fire?!"  Warrior Venus said, "It's trying to snuff us!!"
     "I'll see what I can do,"  Warrior Saturn said, reaching into his utility belt.  He opened a pouch, took out a capsule, and threw it with all his might.  The capsule spiraled into the winds and exploded, forming a force shield in front of the Senshi which deflected the incoming winds.  The Senshi and the Warriors, now no longer held by gale force winds, landed hard on the ground.  As usual, Sailor Moon whined, "That hurt!"
     The insect, upon seeing how the Senshi were protected, began beating its wings harder, taking the winds over 500 MPH.  By now cars, trucks, and anything that wasn't being held down was flying through the air.
     "This is crazy!"  Sailor Mercury said.
     "We need to defeat it!"  Sailor Mars said.
     "How are we going to manage that?"  Warrior Hellfire said, "It's too strong!"
     "Hmmmmm.... "  Warrior Sun said, "perhaps we can't.  But there are four behind the creature who could."
     Warrior Sun very discreetly pointed to four lone figures standing on the roof of Rent - A - Vision.  The insect saw the motion and turned around to face four more Sailor Senshi.  They introduced themselves.
     "Some people might call me a book worm, but my most lethal weapon is my brain.  Beware, because I am Neo - Sailor Mercury."
     "Darkness shall reign supreme.  I am Warrior Night!"
     The last two stood back to back, each speaking part of a combined intro.
 "I control the winds... "
 "And I control pressure... "
 "She is Sailor Phobos."
 "She is Sailor Deimos."
 "And we are the Sailor Guardians!"
     Upon finishing their introductions they leapt into the air.
     "Phobos Shock Wave Strike!"
     Sailor Phobos flapped her arms, creating two pockets of high pressure.  She took them and slammed them together in front of her body, creating a wave of energy which threw the bug for a loop.  Once the bug was struck, the winds ceased blowing and the shield vanished.  At this point the Sailor Senshi charged forward, all bent on destroying the insect creature.  But as they came close, another creature appeared, this one a giant doll.
     "Woah boy,"  Warrior Saturn said, "I feel like we're battling monsters from 'Detention Doldrums' and 'Deadly Dollies'."
     "It could be true,"  Warrior Hellfire said, "At any rate let's destroy them!  Blazing Blade Boomerang!"
     Hellfire's blade attack flew at the monsters, but a freezing cold wind snuffed the flame, causing the axe to clang to the pavement.  The Senshi and Warriors looked to the source of the blast.  A giant snow woman had crashed out of the store window and was in the process of joining the other monsters.
     "Great, now the monster from 'Sailor Mercury Moving On?' has joined the fight,"  Warrior Sun said, "This is not going to be a good day!"
     "I think I have a plan,"  Warrior Saturn said, reaching into one of the pouches on his utility belt.  He took out three capsules and held them for the others to see.
     "What are those?"  Sailor Star Blaze asked.
     "Magic capsules.  I can't remember which is which, but I think one's ULTIMA, one's MERTON, and one is FLARE.  I know I should label them, but I don't have the time."
     "Just throw one,"  Warrior Mars said, "we need to dispatch those things NOW!!"
     "Ok, but I can't promise good results,"  Warrior Saturn said, flinging one capsule beneath the creatures.  When the capsule shattered the surrounding area began to vibrate and a small dome of blue energy formed.  The dome increased in size, engulfing a good portion of the parking lot before vanishing in a flash of light.
     "Ok, that one was ULTIMA,"  Saturn said before flinging a second capsule at the monsters.  When this one shattered flames collected around each of the monsters, igniting and burning.  When the smoke cleared, Saturn said, "That one was FLARE, which means this last one is MERTON."
     "And that means?"  Warrior Mars asked.
     "That means you guys need to evacuate the store and parking lot before I use this thing.  Until then we need to rely on regular attacks."
     "We'll evacuate the premises,"  Phobos and Deimos said, running into the store.  A couple minutes later people began filing out, all laughing and remarking about how the two girls were dressed.  A couple seconds later Phobos and Deimos re - emerged from the building, giving the group the go ahead.
     "Warrior Night, shield everyone.  I'm gonna take care of this on my own!"
     "Ok,"  Warrior Night said, "Galaxy Aura Protect!"
     Beams of light formed a protective dome around the Senshi and the Warriors.  Warrior Saturn marched up to the monsters, no emotion showing on his face.  He stopped a couple feet from the three creatures and stared them in the face.
     "Well, well, well,"  Frosty said, What a silly looking creature."
     "I may look strange, but my temper is burning hot and I possess items which will help to vanquish you,"  Warrior Saturn said, taking the MERTON capsule in his hand.  He held it out, palm up so the monsters could see.  He then smashed his fist into his palm, shattering the capsule.  Wave after wave of fire and star energy struck them, breaking down their defenses and eventually dusting the monsters.  When the attack ceased Warrior Saturn was no more.  He slumped to the ground, the last of his energy ebbing from his body.  A great Phoenix emerged from his body and took to the air.  Warrior Night dropped the shield and the Senshi and Warriors ran to the body.
     "Why did this have to happen?"  Sailor Moon wailed.
     "He sacrificed himself to keep the Negaverse from winning,"  Sailor Jupiter said.
     Warrior Night was going through Saturn's utility belt while everyone else was crying and discovered a capsule marked LIFE2.  He took the capsule and broke it over Warrior Saturn.  An angel appeared and knocked on Saturn's head, refilling him with life energy.  Once this was accomplished, Saturn stood up and said, "Lemme guess, I'm late for my own funeral."
     Everyone turned around and tackled him, all hugging him in joy.  They then returned to their mortal forms to begin the clean up of Butson's.

     Later that evening Bill was walking home, a light breeze blowing through his hair.  As he walked, Mina and Rei came up beside him and joined him.  They hiked up to the common, talking about how great being a super hero was.  As they crossed the common, Bill leapt into the air with joy, for he was now one of the Sailor Senshi, like he and his friends dreams
