Episode 13.5
A Ghastly Remembrance

Sit around children and listen to a story of a group of teenagers.  Teenagers endowed with fantastic powers and given ways to increase them and become super heroes of the universe.  This is a story of the Mutant Crew of Newport, NH.  Most importantly, this story centers upon the leader of the group and the leader of the Star Senshi.

A dark and stormy night it was when the whole incident occurred.  Alex West, the leader of the group, was tossing and turning in his sleep, trying to shut out all the awful things that had befallen his friends and himself.  The encounter with the MiB, the possession of four of his friends by evil forces, the emergence of the Sailor Warriors and the teleport to the Event Horizon and what happened after, the meeting of Warrior Night.  Everything ran through his mind like a video tape in a VCR.  Rewind, Play, Fast Forward, Repeat.  Every image of torture and horror locked into his mind.  Finally, the most hideous memory surfaced, one that he had locked away for so long; the memory of pure evil and pure horror incarnate.  He wanted to wake up, but could not.  Over and over the evil one showed him the darkness of hell and no matter how much and how hard he struggled, he could not escape the images.  Images of torture flashed through his mind at an incredible rate, all of his friends being tortured, strung up, bleeding.  There was blood everywhere.  Blood... and flames.  Alex managed to shut these out with much effort and finally focused upon the one who was tormenting them, calling upon all the powers he held, all his reserves, breaking down all of his mental barriers and doing all he should not for fear of overload.  He pointed an index finger at the evil one and spoke two words.
     "Point Flare."
Flames danced and leapt, entrapping the evil one.  But like in all dreams the tormentor was invulnerable to the attack.
"Ok, reality check,"  Alex said to himself, "this guy can't be harmed by fire, so let's try light.  Tek Laser!"
A beam of searing light fired from his fingers, striking the evil one dead on.  But he kept coming.
"This is unreal!"  Alex exclaimed, "light and fire don't work.  I doubt any of my other elemental attacks would have any effect."
"Very observant,"  the evil one said, "You are wise to give up so easily.  It's much easier on your friends."
"Who said I was giving up?!"  Alex returned.
"I was hoping it wouldn't come to this.  You know your friends, the Star Senshi?"
     "What about them?!"
"Behold, for they are with me now!"
Lights came on behind the evil one, shedding light upon Matt, Richard, Steve, Tod, Bryan, and Rachel.  Each was strung upon some type of device with their weapons aimed at vital points, most likely their throat or over their heart.  They looked at Alex weakly through eyes hazed over by pain.  He could hear their thoughts.
'Don't give in,'  Tod said in Alex's mind.
'Hang in there sugar,'  Rachel added in her southern accent.
'Believe in your self,'  Matt added.
'You can defeat him,'  Steve added in.
'Get 'em for me,'  Richard spoke in Alex's mind.
'Be strong for all of us,'  Bryan said before the lights went out.
"You release them!!"  Alex shouted, tears filling his eyes.
"You'll never defeat the Dream Master!"  the evil one taunted.
"I can sure try!"  Alex spat, rage building up inside him.  The air around Alex began to ignite.  The sphere of influence increased in size until the evil one was inside it with Alex.
"Release us from this horror or I'll end both our existences with the snap of my fingers!"  Alex said in a cold tone of voice.
"You'd risk... end... give your life for your friends?!"  the evil one stammered.
"They'd do the same for me.  We are the Star Senshi.  We stick together and are a team and nothing your can do can end that!!"
"I must rethink this,"  the evil one said.  There was a flash of intense light light and...
Alex awoke, the dream still fresh and vivid in his mind.  He took his Sailor communicator from his bedside table and pushed the symbol for Sailor Nova.
"Yeah,"  Rachel yawned, "Alex, this had better be important 'cause if it's not, I'm gonna get you.  Have you no idea of the time?!"
"Rachel, I'll explain tomorrow.  I just needed to know if you were all right."
     "Yeah, I'm fine.  But... "
"That's all I needed to know.  G' night."
With that Alex ended the transmission.  He fell back into bed.  As he closed his eyes, he knew in his heart he and his friends would always be looking out for one another.

That, my children, is only one adventure of this group of teen super heroes.  The lesson of this story is friends look out for one another.  Warrior Saturn says.  Heh heh.
