Episode 2: Mall Madness

The dream. The dream. That same dream. Why did it have to torment him so. He really should go see Rei at the Cherry Hill Temple, but he hadn't found the time. Between work at the supermarket, home with chores, and school work, he had little time to visit the temple. After the third showing of the same dream he made it a point to visit the temple in the morning.

     The next morning he rose early and left before his parents awoke, being sure to leave a note telling where he had gone. As he walked down the streets to the temple, he noticed how early it was.
     "Wow," he thought, "I guess hardly anyone is awake at this hour."
     Just then he heard screaming and caught a glimpse of a girl with blond hair, done up in pigtails with what seemed like meat balls on her head.
     "I'm so laaaaate!!!!" she wailed.
     "Serena!!" he yelled. The girl stopped her charge, turned around, and yelled, "Alex, don't cha' know you'll be late for school!"
     Just then a raven haired girl caught up to Serena. The girl said, "Hey, meatball head, you're actually going to be early for school for once!"
     "Why is that REI?!" Serena replied, her eyes narrowing to slits.
     "Because Luna set your clock two hours ahead!" Rei said, laughing at the top of her lungs. Serena didn't think it was funny. She began to cry, her wailing shaking the surrounding buildings
     'Thank goodness she isn't Sailor Moon,' Alex thought, 'Otherwise her screams would be magnified.'
     Serena finally ceased her wailing five minutes later, leaving everyone within a ten mile radius severely shaken. Serena sat down on a doorstep and hugged knees.
     "I'm sorry," Rei said, "it was my idea. Since you've been late so many times, Luna and I thought it would be a good idea to set your alarm clock two hours ahead to ensure you arriving at school with plenty of time."
     "Well, thanks," Serena said, a smile forming on her face, "And since we have so much time before school, let's go to the temple!"
     As Serena said this she leapt off the doorstep, grabbed Rei by the hand, and dragged her down the street.
     'I have got to be in hell!' Rei thought as she slammed into a telephone pole. As she recovered from the strike, she thought, 'I am definitely in hell!'
     Alex, on the other hand, followed about ten feet behind, allowing plenty of time to stop if Serena should have one of her klutz attacks.
     As soon as they reached the temple, Serena released Rei from her death grip and made a bee line for Rei's bedroom, where she began to read Rei's comic books. Alex, on the other hand, asked Rei to look into the temple fire to find meaning to his dream.
     As the girl stared into the flames, she said, "Well, as near as I can tell, Serena and Juliet will be possessed by evil spirits and destroy us. At some point six new sailor senshi shall rise from the ashes and destroy the evil princesses. They will then restore the fallen and join us in our battles against the Negaverse."
     "Deep," Alex breathed.
     From Rei's bedroom they heard Serena's hyena - like laughter.
     "We have got to be in hell," Rei moaned.
     "I agree," Alex said.
     They heard footsteps. Many footsteps.
     "It can't be time to open the temple yet," Rei exclaimed, "it's only 6:00. It's too early to open."
The door stood open and there stood a tall brown haired girl in a mint green dress with matching shoes and purse. Her make-up matched everything else she wore and her waist length hair was put up in a pony tail.
     "Lita?!" Alex and Rei exclaimed simultaneously.
     "The one and only," the girl said.
     From behind Lita stepped Mina, wearing an orange dress similar to Lita's, with matching shoes and purse. Her make-up matched everything she wore. She also had her ankle length blond hair held up with a big red bow.
     "What do ya' think?" Mina asked, grinning from ear to ear.
     "Stunning!" Alex gasped.
     "Wow!" Rei exclaimed, "Lita, you actually look.... well... feminine."
     "Er... thanks," Lita stumbled, "I think."
     From behind the two stepped Tod, Steve, Derek, Tony, and Dan, all wearing almost identical 3 - piece suits. All of them looked really well groomed.
     "Was this for your cosmetology class?" Alex asked suspiciously.
     "Ya' might say that," Mina replied, grinning even larger.
     "She blackmailed us," Steve said.
     "She threatened us with blind dates," Tony said.
     "She threatened me with bad karma," Derek said.
     "She threatened to call my old boyfriend," LIta said.
     "I do what it takes," Mina beamed. Sweat drops appeared on Alex's and Rei's heads.
     "Yeah.... uh... whatever," Alex said.
     "So, you guys wearing that to school?" Rei asked.
     "They had better," Mina said, "It took me long enough to get them ready!"
     "I want to shoot myself," Tony said.
     "I'm gonna be sick," Dan moaned.
     "I'm gonna scream!" Lita snarled.
     "I'm gonna get an 'A+' on my assignment!" Mina beamed, her personal background changing to a peaceful forest scene, with butterflies and small woodland creatures near her.
     "I'm gonna be sick!" Dan exclaimed, his face turning a nice shade of green.
     "Oh, don't turn that color," Mina exclaimed, "You'll clash!"
     "In about a minute I won't care if I clash or not, for there will be many colors all over this floor."
     "You do the Technicolor yawn on this floor and I'll make it so you can lick your own asshole!" Rei exclaimed, smoke coming from her ears and flames coming from her mouth. Dan got the picture; if you're gonna be sick, go outside. He left the room and returned a couple minutes later, feeling much better.
     "So, how did you steer the big white bus?" Tony asked sarcastically.
     "Very well," Dan said, managing a weak smile.
     "Now that this is over, we need to go to school!" Rei said, grabbing her back pack from where she left it. The others followed. Serena, on the other hand, needed to be carried by Tod and Steve, for she was laughing so hard she couldn't stand up. Her hyena - like laughter echoed throughout the town, waking all those who tried to sleep. They finally decided to gag Serena by stuffing Steve's tie in her mouth and wrapping Derek's tie over it.
     By the time they arrived at school, they were tired from carrying Serena. The moment they set her on her feet and undid the gag she began swearing and cursing at the top of her lungs about how rude they were to her and how they should treat her. As this went on Derek looked at Steve, Steve nodded, knowing what to do. They quickly went into action, stuffing one tie in Serena's mouth and wrapping a second one around her head to keep it in place. They then picked her up and carried her into the building. They dropped Serena off in her advisory, making sure to tell the teacher about Serena's foul mouth. They then moved on to their own advisories.
     The day flew by fast, without any trouble what so ever. After school Alex, Derek, Mina, Lita, Rei, Dorrie, and Jess went to the Newport Mall, where they spent the afternoons that Alex didn't have to work. As they walked they admired all the shops. Alex bought a medallion and a crystal ball for Crystal. Dorrie purchased some new paints for May and a mallet for Ana. Mina bought a new dress. As she tried it on, Lita turned four shades of red.
     "What's wrong with it?" Mina asked.
     "What's wrong with what?" Lita asked.
     "The dress?"
     "What dress?"
     "The one I'm wearing."
     "You're wearing a dress?"
     "Yeah. It's nude sheer fabric."
     "That's why I can't see it!"
     Just then Alex walked in. He looked at Mina and said, "Nice dress. I can hardly tell you're wearing one."
     Lita smacked him, partly for noticing the dress, and partly for being in the woman's dressing room.

As they walked through the many levels of the mall, they heard screams coming from the very bottom floor. Being on the 51st floor, the only way to get down there quickly was to jump, and the only way to do that was transform.

"Dancer Star Power.... " "Venus Crystal Power.... " "Jupiter Crystal Power.... " "Sun Crisis Power.... " "Mars Crystal Power.... " "Io Moon Power.... " "Mars Prism Power.... " "MAKE UP!!!" "Pluto Scout's Ring.... Power UP!!"      As soon as they transformed, they leapt over the railing and dropped like rocks. To pass the time until landing they practiced their trick diving. After a couple minutes of falling they finally reached the ground, each of them landing perfectly. They then ran like the wind to the source of the scream.
     The source of the scream was somewhere in the local Peach Beer outlet, which happened to be huge. As they entered Alex once again activated his VR visor. As the familiar visor once again appeared over his eyes he felt more comfortable. He ran a quick scan and quickly discovered the problem; a monster in the electronics section. They ran like the wind to where the monster was terrorizing customers.
     "Hey Nega - scum!" Alex yelled to the mismatched pile of electrical components, "Over here!"
     The monster quickly turned to face the eight Sailor Senshi. The monster snapped, "Who are you?!"
     "Sailor Venus.... "
     "Sailor Jupiter... "
     "Sailor Sun... "
     "Sailor Mars... "
     "Sailor Io.... "
     "Sailor Neo - Mars.... "
     "Sailor Star Dancer.... "
     "Sailor Neo - Pluto.... "
     "WE STAND FOR LOVE AND JUSTICE! WE ARE THE SAILOR SENSHI!"
     The monster was simply blown away by their powerful introductions. "Wow," it thought, "the boss said they had powerful intros, but this is ridiculous!"
     The monster, after having a deep thought, created tentacles of wires and wrapped up the Senshi. He then proceeded to drain them.
     "Not.... again," Alex said weakly, "Mars, Neo - Mars, torch him!"
     "We... are trying," Rei said, "Fire Soul!"
     "Neo - Mars Fire Ignite!"
     Two waves of flame attacked the monster, severing the tentacles and freeing the Sailor Senshi. They quickly regrouped before preparing to attack.
     "We need more power," Sailor Jupiter said, "I don't think we can defeat it alone."
     "I'll try to get us some help," Alex said, activating his communicator, "this is Star Dancer calling all Sailor Senshi within the area of the Newport Mall; we need assistance. Repeat, we need assistance at the Newport Mall!"
     "Star Dancer, this is Sailor Nova. I'm on my way with the Outer Senshi, the Moon Senshi, and the Star Senshi. ETA is two minutes."
     The group heard a shattering sound from above and saw twelve figures leap through the skylight. Two minutes later the twelve joined the other eight in battling the monster.
     "Who are you?!" The monster asked the twelve new senshi.
     "Sailor Europa... "
     "Sailor Ganymede... "
     "Sailor Callisto.... "
     "Sailor Nova... "
     "Sailor Hellfire... "
     "Sailor FireStar.... "
     "Sailor Thunderbolt.... "
     "Sailor Arctic Chill.... "
     "Sailor Pluto... "
     "Sailor Saturn.... "
     "Sailor Uranus.... "
     "Sailor Neptune.... "
     "WE ARE SAILOR SENSHI!!!"
     "Even more powerful than the intros of the first," the creature thought, "too bad I have to destroy them."
     The creature, lost in deep thought, didn't notice Alex warming up for attack.
     "Ring Shot!!"
     A tiny orb of blue energy surrounded his right hand. When he punched forward a small ring of ice energy fired from his fist and struck the monster. The first ring didn't do too much to the monster except bring it back to reality. Alex, on the other hand, was drained by the attack. In need of a recharge, Alex continued to fight.
     "Ring Shot!"
     A larger orb of ice energy surrounded Alex's hand. When he punched forward this time two rings fired off, both larger than the first. These stunned the creature for a couple seconds. The drain, though, was beginning to show.
     "Ring Shot!"
     Three rings fired from his hand, all three larger than the previous. These froze the creature's feet. By now Alex was on the verge of fainting, but he kept fighting.
     "Ring Shot!"
     Four rings fired forth, all larger than the previous groups. The monster was frozen to the waist. Alex was really showing the drain by now.
     "Alex!" Sailor Jupiter yelled when she saw Alex powering up for a fifth blast, "Don't do it!"
     "Too late!" Alex managed to say weakly, "Ring Shot!"
     Five rings of ice blasted the creature, freezing it completely. Alex, on the other hand, dropped to his knees in exhaustion. Jupiter and Venus ran to his aid while the other Senshi stared in disbelief at what Alex had done.
     "That's the last time I eat that much pizza before bed," Alex moaned weakly.
     "Easy now," Venus said, "you're very weak."
     "Can I sleep for five more minutes mommy," Alex moaned, looking at Jupiter, "I promise I'll clean the litter box today."
     "Go ahead and rest while we take care of the rude monster who did this to you," Jupiter said.
     Alex closed his eyes and was out cold. Jupiter lay Alex's head on the floor, making sure to use his cape as a pillow. Jupiter and Venus then stood up and joined the other senshi in destroying the creature.
     "How should we go about this?" Hellfire asked, "It's frozen solid so it can't attack us."
     "And the ice isn't melting," Nova said.
     "We can't leave it here, can we?" Neo - Mars inquired.
     "Who knows," Arctic Chill said, "it didn't put up too much of a fight."
     "The only thing it did was try to drain us," Io said, "Any other chances it had to attack it went into deep thought.
     Just then Callisto had a deep thought. She pulled out her communicator and activated it.
     "Callisto calling Serena or Juliet, we need moon healing at the Newport Mall."
     "Callisto, this is Serena. We're on our way!"
     A couple minutes later the two Sailor Moon's arrived.
     "Who needs healing?" Serena asked, looking at Alex first, then the monster in the ice, then Alex again."
     "I think the question is," Juliet said, surveying the same scene, "who needs healing more? Alex, or the monster?"
     "We're going to heal the monster," Callisto said, "Ok Mars, do your stuff!"
     "Right," Rei (Mars) said, nodding to Callisto. She then turned her attention to the block of ice. "Mars Firestorm Flash!!"
     A continuous stream of fire met the ice, melting it. A couple minutes later the monster was free again.
     Serena took her crescent wand from her sub space pocket and activated it.
     "Moon Healing Escalation!"
     As the moon beams struck the monster it began to turn human once again. But the evil influence upon it began to over take the moon power. Juliet, feeling this, took her wand and activated her power.
     "Moon Healing Activation!"
     More moon beams struck the monster, healing it and turning it human. The evil influence was strong, but the Senshi were stronger. The person became human once again and dropped to his knees.
     "Now, call Amy," Callisto said, rushing to the side of the fallen person.
     "Why?" Serena asked.
     "Because this is her friend Greg."
     Serena contacted Amy and a couple minutes later Sailor Mercury arrived on the scene. She ran to Greg's side and when he woke he blinked twice and said, "Amy, great to see you."
     "Oh Greg," Amy said, "What happened?"
     "The Negaverse. They're back and trying to destroy the Sailor Senshi. They'll turn the Moon Princesses against you and after you're destroyed, six new senshi shall rise from the ashes and stop the Negaverse once again. They will revive you and join you in your battles.
     "Sounds like Alex's reoccurring dream," Sailor Mars said.
     "Uhhhh.... " came from Alex, "did anyone get the number of that monster?!" he moaned.
     "No, but the creature wore a sticker that said, "How am I doing? Call 1 - 800 - kiss ass!" Thunderbolt said.
     "Why does that seem so much like deja vu?"
     Sweat drops appeared on everyone's heads. Alex had a face fault. When they recovered, the Sailor Senshi returned to their human forms. Amy and Rei helped Greg while Matt and Richard helped Alex out of the mall.
     After they left the mall they headed for the temple, where Serena once again began her laughter. Being sick of the sound, the five who endured Mina's assignment took their ties and bound and gagged Serena. With peace restored Rei and Crystal took turns telling fortunes. The End.
