Crossover Wars episode 1:
Welcome to the Digiworld.

It was an average day in the Digiworld. As usual the seven digi-destined were trekking their way across the continent of Server in search of a way home. Mimi was complaining about being tired and hungry. Tai was leading them to heaven knows where. Joe was saying they should stop and ask for directions. Izzy was absorbed in his computer screen and program. Sora had asked Biyomon to fly above the group to see if there was anything ahead or behind them of interest. TK was riding on his brother Matt's shoulders since his little legs were tired from all the walking. The digimon all seemed to be worn out themselves.
"Maybe there's something over this ridge?" Tai said, taking out his telescope to get a better view.
"You said that for the past five hills," Joe said.
"Yeah," Mimi said, "I'm tired. We should rest."
"For once I agree with Mimi," Izzy said, "If we rest we'll regain our strength."
"Sounds like a plan," Palmon said, "let's rest here."
"Oh, all right," Tai said, "maybe Biyomon found something."
As the group sat to rest, Biyomon fluttered down and landed next to Sora. The pink bird said, "I didn't find anything except a lot of trees and open space."
"We're lost, aren't we?" TK asked.
"I wouldn't say that TK," Matt said, "we're just sort of off the beaten path."
"The road less traveled," Izzy said, "we were confronted with the choice of two roads and we chose the one less traveled."
"Sounds like a poem," Mimi said.
"I read it somewhere on the net," Izzy replied. Mimi sighed.
The group rested for about an hour, taking a little time to explore their surroundings, find some water and food, and also ask some local Digimon where they were. As near as they could figure they were in the middle of a place called Nowhere. Half an hour later they came face to face with a scary event.... a cross over.
A glowing portal opened in the middle of their resting spot and from that stepped a young man of about 21 years of age. The man was dressed in black chest and shoulder armor, a black tunic beneath the armor, green cargo pants, and black boots. A cape of black and green was clasped about his neck and beneath the shoulder guards. His brown hair went about halfway down his back in the back and was shorter on the sides and on the top, with a part and bangs in the front. The man also wore elf ears and had little horns protruding from a black head band. Next to the man was a large black panther with a white star shaped on its forehead. In the middle of the star was a gold crescent moon. Both looked to be dazed and confused.
"This doesn't look like the Galaxy Expo Anime Convention," the man said, turning to the panther.
"This is definitely not the Greater Saturn Arms Hotel," the panther said, "there are seven children here with monsters."
"They appear to be travelers," Izzy said, "though I don't know where they're from."
"I could say the same about you," the man said, blowing a stray lock of his hair from his face, "I'm Alex, and this," he said, indicating the panther, "is my cat Star."
"You consider a large panther to be a cat," Joe said, a sweat drop forming on his head.
"Well, he sort of.... evolved, before we went on this trip," Alex explained, "and somehow we ended up here instead of our real destination."
"Are you sure you're not some sort of a Digimon?" TK asked. A large sweat drop formed on Alex's head.
"Kid, if I were a Digimon I'd be somewhere else," Alex sighed, "as it is I think I may be stuck here for a while."
"Why don't you just open a portal," Star suggested. Multiple sweat drops formed on Alex's head. Izzy noticed this and said, "If my guess is correct you can't open another portal, can you?"
"That is absolutely correct," Alex said, taking out his mini - computer and beginning a scan of the area. Izzy's eyes lit up like those of a child with a new toy hen he saw Alex's computer.
"Is that the latest model of the handheld computer?" Izzy asked
"Yeah, it's the latest one. It's Selma mark 3.40. I recently upgraded it to meet my traveling needs."
As Alex and Izzy discussed computers, Mimi walked up to Star and began to pat him. Star purred and before he knew it Mimi was giving him a tummy rub.
"Mimi, what are you doing to that cat?" Palmon asked.
"I think he likes me," Mimi said.
"Are you sure it's a good idea to be playing with strange animals?" Joe asked.
"Lighten up Joe," Sora said, kneeling down to pet Star also, "he's just a big kitten."
"A very big kitten," Mimi added, "with such soft and silky fur."
By this time Tai and Matt had tried to understand what Alex and Izzy were talking about, but stopped after a few moments. Ten minutes later Izzy exclaimed, "Prodigious! You were able to optimize my hard drive!" Everyone else fell over.
"I think I found a place where the fabric of time and space is weak," Alex said, turning while holding his computer, "Star, come. Our ticket home is to the north."
Star leapt up from where he was laying, knocking both Sora and Mimi onto their butts before he bounded over to where his charge stood. As the two began to walk off they heard Tai say, "we're headed in that direction as well. Can we come also?"
"If you can stand being with a high level sorcerer and an over sized cat," Alex said. He smacked his forehead a moment later and said, "I feel stupid for not asking your names before."
"I'm Tai," Tai said, "Matt is mister silent there, Izzy is our local computer wizard, Joe's the cautious one, TK is Matt's younger brother, Mimi is the one with the big hat, and Sora is one of my best friends who cares about all of us." Sora blushed a moment later.
"So you're a sorcerer," TK said, "can you pull a rabbit out of your hat?" a large sweat drop formed on Alex's head.
"TK, he knows how to use attack and healing spells," Matt said, "that's what a sorcerer does. A magician does the slight of hand you see at birthday parties."
"Are you any good?" Mimi asked.
"I rank up there with some of the best," Alex explained as they walked. "I can cast pretty much any of the known spells, some of the not so well known spells, and a few of my own spells."
"Think you can get us home?" Tai asked. Everyone else glared at him. "It was a valid question."
"You digidestined have a serious responsibility to the real world as well as the Digiworld," Star said.
"That's what I've been telling them," Tentamon.
"And they still don't listen to us," Gomamon said.
"We have so," Joe said, "all of us except for Tai."
"Hey!" Tai exclaimed, "I listen to our Digimon."
Alex and Star sighed. "We're never going to get home, are we?" Alex asked. Star sighed and said, "I doubt it."
At that moment the ground began to shake. Everyone looked around until Sora pointed to their right and said, "What is that big thing coming our way?!"
"I have no clue," Tentamon said, looking at the massive jumble of body parts and teeth.
"It's not listed in the Digimon identification program that Gennai gave me," Izzy said, "it's something completely new."
"No it's not," Alex said, forming a fireball, "that is called Leviathan... or a leviathan, but that's in the real world."
"I remember a tale of a Digimon that was pure evil and incredibly gruesome," Patamon said, "they called him Leviamon."
"Figures the youngest one would know the gruesome tale," Matt said, "I remember watching horror movies when I was TK's age."
"Can we kill it soon?" Mimi asked, "It's revolting to look at."
"I agree with Mimi," Joe said, "please kill it soon!"
     "All right," Alex said, "fireball!"
Alex hurled the fireball at Leviamon, only to have the monster bat it away. Alex hurled several more fireballs at Leviamon, with the same results. Leviamon hurled several tentacles at Alex, all breaking through Alex's force shield and wrapping the young warrior up. Mouths formed at the ends of the tentacles, all heading for vital points and organs.
"We have to help him," Tai said, "Agumon, do something."
"I'll try," Agumon said, "Pepper Breath!"
Agumon belched a fireball, which struck a pair of the tentacles, burning them to a crisp. That left two more tentacles which went for Alex's stomach.
"Boom Bubble," Patamon said, expanding to twice his size, "Pah!"
"Spiral Twister," Biyomon said, a swirl of green fire forming before her feet, "Yah!"
Patamon spit a large bubble of high pressure at the tentacles, which struck one of the tentacles and snapped it in half. Biyomon's attack struck the other tentacle, snapping it and leaving Alex to fall to the ground.
"Thanks," Alex said, zapping the remaining bits and pieces of tentacles with a Digger Volt, "I would hate to become like that thing."
"Isn't there some sort of spell you can use to kill it?" Mimi asked, grabbing Alex by the collar of his shirt and shaking him.
"I have one spell, but someone needs to distract him long enough for me to chant the incantation," he said, grabbing Mimi's hands to get her to stop shaking him.
"We'll take care of it," Gabumon said, indicating himself and the other Digimon, "Digivolving time."
Six of the seven digivices glowed as Palmon, Gabumon, Gomamon, Biyomon, Agumon, and Tentamon digivolved into their champion forms.
     "Palmon digivolve to..... Togemon!"
     "Gabumon digivolve to..... Garurumon!"
     "Gomamon digivolve to..... Ikkakumon!"
     "Biyomon digivolve to..... Birdramon!"
     "Agumon digivolve to.... Greymon!"
     "Tentamon digivolve to.... Kabuterimon!"
Six flashes of light later there stood a giant cactus person, a wolf, a furry aquatic animal, a Phoenix - like creature, a dinosaur, and a large insect, all ready to fight Leviamon.
"Be careful," TK shouted to the Digimon as they advanced on Leviamon.
"Now for my part of the bargain," Alex said. He turned to Star and said, "Time for you to evolve once more."
Star looked at Alex with a look that said 'you must be kidding me'. "This is as far as I can evolve," the guardian said, "What makes you think I can get any larger?"
"I believe in you," Alex said, "besides, I need all the power I have for this spell."
Star closed his eyes, his body glowing and expanding, silver and gold armor forming on his body. Once the transformation finished the giant panther crouched down so that his charge could get aboard. Once Alex had mounted, the great panther rose to its full height, Alex standing on his back in position for spell casting.
During Star's transformation the six Digimon had moved into position and were in the process of attacking the Leviamon.
"Nova Blast!" Greymon said, belching a giant fireball.
"Meteor Wing!" Birdramon said, releasing a stream of fireballs.
"Howling Blaster!" Garurumon belched a stream of icy flames.
"Harpoon Torpedo!" Ikkakumon fired off several horns from the top of his head, all splitting open and releasing homing missiles.
"Electro Shocker!" Kabuterimon released a massive bolt of electricity.
"Needle Spray!" Togemon spun around, releasing a wave of cactus needles.
Leviamon took all the attacks head on, emerging with barely a scratch. In retribution it hurled slimy tentacles at each of the Digimon, wrapping them up and draining their energy. The six champions quickly reverted back to their stage 2 evolutions.
"They're in trouble," Mimi and Joe said simultaneously.
"Hurry up and do something!" Tai shouted up to Alex. The sound of a chant filled the air, getting louder as the spell began to form.
"Heed me now, thou who is darker than dusk. Heed me thou which is more red than blood. In the name of that which is buried in the bottomless abyss of time eternal I summon thee, master of the ultimate darkness. Hold no pity for the fools who stand in our way. Infuse me with power, let your strength become mine. To wipe them from the face of this earth, to deliver unto them the ultimate doom..."
As Alex chanted and went through the motions for the spell, Patamon used several Boom Bubbles to cut the other Digimon free of Alex's target. Leviamon screamed in pain and rage before it began to charge towards the group of humans. Patamon then digivolved into Angemon, at which Alex did a double take since Angemon was Sylphiel's summons / Esper. The giant angel creature stood before the group and blocked Leviamon long enough for Alex to finish chanting his spell.
     "Dragon...."
Angemon moved out of the way as Alex summoned all the energy he accumulated into a single point. Leviamon was slightly startled as a large gap of space opened up around him.
     ".... SLAVE!!"
Alex released the energy as a massive beam of darkness which struck Leviamon in the chest and hurled him half a mile away before exploding into an expanding energy dome that not only destroyed Leviamon but created a massive hole in the ground. Once the threat passed, Angemon devolved back to Patamon and Star shrank down to panther size.
     "That was incredible," Mimi exclaimed.
"You defeated that icky monster," TK said.
"Way to go," Matt said, "You are the man."
"Thanks," Alex said, taking out his computer and scanning the area. A moment later he said, "Prodigious. I found the weakening in the fabric I need."
"Hey," Izzy said, "Prodigious is my line!"
"I guess he learns fast," Tai said, meaning Alex.
"So this is where you go?" Sora asked.
"Yup. Hopefully the portal I create here will get me to my true destination."
"Good luck," Matt said, shaking Alex's hand. "If you're ever in Odaiba or the Tanikawa sections of Japan look us up."
"I will," Alex said, "and if you ever visit the New Hampshire area of the states look me up." Alex then turned to Star and said, "you ready to go?"
"Yup," Star said, waving to the Digimon, "you take care of your friends now, you hear?" he said to the Digimon.
     "We will," Agumon said.
"I'll make sure he does," Gomamon said. Palmon tickled him a moment later.
Alex chanted something under his breath and a portal opened. With one final wave and a "Fare the well. I'll never forget you." he and Star stepped into the portal and were gone from the Digiworld, the portal sealing shut behind them a moment later.
"Shall we continue in our quest?" Izzy asked.
"We should," Sora said, "I'm starting to feel hungry."
"Me too," TK said, "I hope Mister Alex got where ever he was going safely."
"I'm sure he did TK," Matt said, "I'm sure he did."

Alex and Star opened their eyes to a busy city with a lot of people. It was definitely earth in 1999, but the city's location was a mystery to them. A nearby poster gave them the name of their location.
"Manhattan, the heart of the Big Apple."
Star and Alex looked at one another before groaning about how their luck really sucked. Alex realized it would take him a while before he would be able to open another portal and they needed a place to rest. Alex remembered an uncle of his who lived in New York, in Manhattan, who could provide a place for them to stay for a while. A nearby phone booth gave them a means to contact the uncle.
As Alex dialed information, Star asked, "Who is this uncle that lives here?"
"Professor Egon Spangler," Alex said moments before the operator picked up.
