Fred invited Journey to his attic to go through his stuff. "This looks like a very big job for a big person." Journey said while picking up a big, thick book. "What's this?" She asked while giving it to him.
"Oh that, that is a big book of Daphne's that she let me borrow." "It's her personal diary. Why did she give it to you?" "Well, she had some mystery entries in them. I never got a chance to look through them yet." Fred said. "I'll put this in your room and we'll read them later."
Journey placed Daphne's Journal in Fred's room. His room was neat with everything in their personal places. In other words, he's well organized. He had a dresser with the gang's photo in it. It also had a lamp on it, a clock and a photo album in it.
"I wish my room was like this but mine is the master bedroom." Journey said to herself. I don't know why she wanted her room like it. Hers was clean and all neat and stuff.
Journey went back to the attic with Fred. "Looks like you got half it done when I was admiring your room."
"I know. It's not the master bedroom because this house doesn't have a master bedroom." Fred said. "I placed the diary on your dresser if you don't mind." "Thank you. I'll get around to it when we're done here." He said. "That's a good idea." Journey said. "All we have to do is the left side of the room organized." He said.
So they went through the left side. He found everything from the gang that they gave him every Christmas. "You still have that book that I gave you." She said. "That was a great book." "I knew that you loved it." Journey said.
When they both got the attic all cleaned, both of them went to the living room. Fred went to his room and grabbed the book from his bed and went down stairs for both of them to look at.
"She marked the pages that had the mysteries in them." Fred said. So they went through the diary thing. One thing she accidentally marked something that had nothing to do with the mysteries inc. entry.
"What's this?" Fred said. "Let me look at it for a minute." Journey said while grabbing the book from him. She began to read every word. "What is it?" Fred asked. "You don't want to know Fred. It's kinda private thing. My diary isn't private. I'm an open book except for letting Access reading mine. He's going to get it one day." It was medium length entry.
" What does it say?" Fred asked. "Why do you want to know? This might be about you." "I don't care, if it isn't mean I want to read it."
Journey read the book by herself. I wonder what this is? Journey thought. She skimmed through it before she even read it.
Dear diary, I can't get Fred out of my mind. A lot of other things that I have are distracted of for a long time but nothing like this. Oh well, it must be an adult thing. Something like I refuse to get out of my teen stage. I guess it happens to everyone. I know I love him but I can't see that he doesn't love or even care 'bout me. I told Journey and a few other people and I never heard a thing from other people. That's a kinda thing that I want in a friend. Trust. The gang is family to me. Even though one of them is your sister. She's a wonderful singer, loving and caring about me. She has a boyfriend of her own. Sooner or later, the mysterious adventure will get tense and we will be forced to show our feelings. I wonder why he always pairs us up. I still didn't get a thing from him. Journey said to me while we were on the lost camping trip when I asked her why. She said: "He has to. If it doesn't work out, he'll loose the best friend that he'd ever had. But talking about a person's feelings for another takes time. He'll open up some time. Right now, show him that you care by being there as a friend. When the time is right, he'll tell you." Well there's a mystery to slove bye. Daphne.
She was in shock with this as Daphne was. The telephone rang. "Stay right here Fred, I'll be right back."
While Journey to the phone call, Fred went to that entry and read it. He had a shocked face.
"Hello, Fred Jones' place... Hey Daphne... What? They're here... Okay, I'll be right there... and what... my guitar is ready... okay. See you then bye." She hung up the phone.
"Fred, I'm going to the shop 'cause my guitar is fixed and I need to go to the house. I'll see you later." "See you." Fred said. "And one thing, whatever's in that book, this does not get out of the house, okay?" "Okay." she gave Fred a hug and she left.
"She loves me? After all these years?" Fred asked himself. "Wow!"
Journey went back to the house. "So what's the emergency Daph?" journey said. "I found Fred's diary." "That's so important?" "Yeah. It has a lot of Mysteries Inc. stuff in it. But one thing that I did read is about me.
Journey sat on the couch and took the journal from Daphne. It was the same entry but different.
Hey Journal, I think that I'm in love with Daphne. I can't really get her off my mind whenever I'm hanging out or not hanging out with her. I don't know how to say it, but I fell for her on the spot. I never got the chance on telling her how I felt when she was dating that other guy a few years ago. I know how he is going to do it but I can't write it in here because you don' t know who is reading it. It might be Journey who might be reading it. She loves to read the BIG Mysteries Inc Journal. Well see ya later, there's a mystery to slove with the gang. Your bud, Fred.
"And his friend telling his feelings for me?" It made Daphne think for a minute. "Fred has my book and I have his. Oh... we were exchanging information on what was happening when we had the mysteries. I usually type them up. "We've been going out for six long months. Everything's cool between Access and I." Journey said. Daphne looked at her. Journey wasn't in a good mood. She was happy or sad. Daphne looked at her face, Journey was so sad all of a sudden. She wasn't happy at all because of something. "I'm not sure why I'm in a sad mood."
"You know what? I am going to my room and think about this." Journey said. "Good idea Journey. I'll tell you when supper was ready." "Okay." Journey went to bed.
Fred went out for supper. Fred and Daphne ran into each other. "Hi." Fred said. "Hi." Daphne said. Both walked past each other. Daphne walked past Shaggy and Scooby. "Hey Daph." "Hey Shaggy, Scooby." "How are you?" "Great. How's Journey?" "Fine. What do you think I'm talking about?" Daphne asked. "Oh. What are you doing here?" "Getting some dinner for Journey and I." "Can we eat with you guys?" "Sure" Scooby visited Journey's bedroom. When he found her, she was sleeping. So Scooby went to sleep as well. A while later, a noise woke Scooby up. "Reah Rouney, Rake Rup." Scooby said. Journey woke up. It was Access, wanting to hang out with her.
Daphne, Fred, Shaggy and Velma where outside for a barbecue.
Journey, Access and Scooby joined them. "Journey, May I talk to you in private?' Daphne asked. "Sure Daphne." Journey said. Journey and Daphne went inside.
Journey and Daphne went into the living room couch
"I saw Fred today and I completely said hi and left." Daphne said. "Is it because I told you the entry?" "Yeah. He's doing to same thing." "I guessed that he looked at the entry when I left. You both can't be ignoring each other because of reading one's confessions. Just care for him right now as a friend." "I guess you're right." "Both of you are making the situation worse for yourselves." Journey said. "Come on let's get out there." "That's the sprit." Journey said. Both of them left.
Everyone was in the pool with the swimsuits on and a shirt. Both of them decided to go in too. Both of them went swimming with them.
After a great swim, Daphne and Fred were alone. "I'm sorry for everything." "Like what?" Daphne asked. "Well, ignoring you and reading the wrong parts." "I must apologize to you." Daphne said. "Me too Daph. I'm really sorry." "That's okay." they hugged and made up for everything.
Daphne and Fred made up. They started to hang out with each other. Even when it's time to split up so they can look at the clues.
As for Journey, Access and her are having the time of their lives after Access not being there for a while. They started to hang out together too. The gang was excited about this too.
Fred and Journey returned Daphne's diary to her and vice versa.
The following Monday, everyone went back to work. The cameras and the set was ready for them to shoot another show. Then Access showed up at the set and visit them while they were working.
"You guys are doing a great job. I love your show and I watch it whenever I can." Access said. "Thank you." Fred and Daphne said in unison. The gang was hanging out and solving mysteries like nothing has happened and all of them were very happy.
