God in nature

A giant lush oak tree towers above the end of a grassy field
With little kids running back and forth in bright clothes
Under a shining sun.
Cool air with a breeze rustles hair and leaves
On a beautiful summer day.

Football on brown-grey grass, under copper and gold
With lines of raked leaves to dive through, and a pile at one end.
Soft clothes to cover up and make catches easier.
Dry, cool air and a feeling of precious metals in the atmosphere
Light and shadow and a low sun as we wrestle in the
Partially obscured back yard.

Light snow in big flakes drifts through an inky cold night
Shining in a cone as they pass a flood light.
The next day is smooth and sparkling
Trees and streets and dog and me
Enveloped in white, bright despite a grey sky.

Clean clothes, but not for long
Running through moist grass looking for pastel eggs
Next to a white church and around croquet wickets.
Good food, fresh air, a feeling of cool and life.
Pansies, cheap but pretty, in a stack near the stairs.

Will I ever be home again?
