I never thought that I would ever meet them, especially not where I did.
It was Spring Break. I was visiting my Grandparents in Williamsburg, VA. I had lived there for 3 years, so I had lots of people to see. I was At one of my fave places, Busch Gardens. I was waiting for my best friend, Abbie, to show up. She said that she would be there by 10:30 in the morning. It was now 11:30. I was getting frustrated. I had been waiting for, like and hour. I decided to get up and look for her. I looked everywhere.
I was walking backwards, and I was not paying attention to what I was doing. I heard people talking all around me, but I didn’t think to look directly behind me. Because of my carelessness, I backed into someone, causing them to fall over.
"Oh, my god! I am so sorry!!! I didn’t mean to do that! I……….." my voice trailed off when I saw who was laying on the ground in front of me. I tried not to go crazy. It was Taylor Hanson! Zac and Isaac were standing, just watching, not saying a word. I couldn’t believe my eyes! I thought that they were playing tricks on me! I held out my hand to help Taylor up from the ground. He took my hand. " Thank you," He said. " Don’t worry about knocking me over. Everyone does that to at least one person in their lifetime. If it makes you feel any better, I’ve done that so many times, I’ve lost count." He smiled.
" Thanks. I really am sorry about that. I was looking for a friend that never showed. I guess I get to go call my grandmother and go home now. Nice meeting you. Sorry again." I started to walk away.

Wait! She can’t leave! I just met her! She is so pretty! Heck, I didn’t even know her name!
" Hey! Wait! " The girl stopped and turned around.
" Yeah? "
" Do you know your way around this place? We’re lost and we need help. "
" Yeah.. I know this place like the back of my hand. I lived here for 3 years. "
" Do you think that you could show us around? We’ll take you home! " I hoped that she would say yes. She was so beautiful and mysterious. She was such a happy person, yet I could see sadness in her eyes. Sadness and pain. I wanted to get to know her. I wanted to find out what could ever cause someone so beautiful so much sadness and pain.
" I would really like too! But, I have to call my grandmother and ask her. "
" Let us come with you! " Zac said. " Wait a sec! We don’t even know your name! "
" My name is Joana. "
Joana… What a beautiful name!

I couldn’t believe it! I was talking to the Hanson’s! They just happened to be my most fave band in the whole world. And now they want me to spend the day with them? That is really, really awesome!
I started walking to the nearest phone. Taylor was walking next to me. Isaac and Zac were following behind.
" So, Where are you from? " Taylor asked.
" Amherst, New Hampshire. A very boring town compared to Williamsburg. "
" Really? That’s too bad. "
" Yeah, I guess it is. "
" So.. Why are you here if you live in New Hampshire? "
" I’m on spring break. I’m visiting my grandparents. "
" Oh. That’s cool. "
"Yeah… I guess it is. " ohmigod! I must sound like such a dork!
We finally got to a phone. I put my 35 cents into the slot and dialed my grandparents phone number. It was ringing. Taylor was smiling at me. I smiled back at him.
" Hello? " My grandmother answered the phone cheerfully, like usual.
" Hi, Mam Mam. It’s me, Joana. I have a question for you. "
" What is your question? "
" Abbie never came. I was looking around for her when I literally backed into Taylor Hanson. We talked for a minute, and they asked if I would show them around the park, since they where lost. I said I would if you would let me. I promise to be back no later than 1:30 like I promised. Can I? "
" Well… I guess so. But, you can’t walk in this door even 1 second past 1:30. Is that clear? "
" Yes Mam!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!!!!
