[Ogadenia Freedom Campaign Organization] New Organization base in London OUR MAIN OBJECTIVES ARE:- 1)To campaign to shed light the suffering of the Somali Ogaden people through World Media and the Internet. 2) To explore effective ways of bringing about peace,justice and development in the Ogaden Region... 3) To campaign the international community to send a fact finding mission to the Ogaden Region to investigate and expose the truth and bring the culprits to justice for crimes against humanity under international law.etc. Ogaden is a name given by the British Colonial administration. it is an Arid upland, south eastern part of Ethiopia, bordered on the North and East by Somalia. The Ogaden is sparsely settled population. The population is Ethnically Somali. The region was occuppied by Ethiopia Illegally and the Somali People in the Ogaden have been waging an armed strugle with successive Ethiopian regimes over last century to achieve Self-determination and peace. Ogaden is twice the size of England and Wales together with a population of about eight million most of all the population are in crises of hunger and disease created by the evil Ethiopian Government to get the financial help from the international community to attack it is neoghbauring countreis and freedom fighters within the country... The region was annexed by the Ethiopian in 1891 and 1936 was incareerated in to the colony of Italian Somaliland till 1941. Then it aws occupied by the British who returned to the Ethiopia in 1948 without consent of its people who are righful owners. From that day the struggle started alongside the cruel oppression of the Ethiopian Govevernmnet. This Ethiopian Authority is currently committing genocide against the Somalis in Ogaden Region acceded to UN convention against Turture, Rape and Cruel in human or degrading treatment or punishment, which also against Un convention of 1949. so far Ethiopia managed to keep the international community in the dark about its grave human rights violations in the Ogaden by misleading it and it intends to do so in the future The Ogaden Region presents one of the most consistent case of human rights violations in the world. not only the rights that are essential for the maintenance of human dignity, such as culture, economic, social and political rights are denied, but the very basic rights of life and liberty which are the majority of the mankind take them for granted are infringed. The Somali Ogadenis are constantly terrorized,abducted, detained, displaced, their properties are confiscated or distroyed and thier land is mined by the forces of the Ethiopian government... The main problem is that there is a total news back out in the Ogaden region, journalists, camera crew and any sort of Media are never allowed to cover anything in the area of Ogaden region. Except since the Famine crises started in ogaden region which is their benefit because they getting millions of aid from international community to feed its over sized military and to ease its financial crises the poor Somalis in Ogaden they have to suffer for ever!!!!!!!!! The relationship between the Ethiopia and somali Ogaden is very poor the Ogaden region might be governed from the capital, Addis-ababa but its people are predominantly ethnic somalia with thier own language, culture and identity and they will never fully accept the Ethiopian rule the army struggle will continue untill the people of Ogaden get the freedom and justice and to rule themselfes... The international donors funds(mainly from the west) are apparently being misused by the Ethiopian government to feed its military to harass the Somalis in Ogaden. this reverse of the good intentions of western tax payers which is meant to help the famine effected people in Ogaden but not to kill. therefore, we wish to condemn this evil action in the sttrongest torns possible and further use those responsible to refrain from such cruel actions without any conditions and instead use to provide the available resource to the daily needed basic requiremnets for the people of the Ogaden region...
