"Beep. Beep. Beep. Miss Gacona this is your wake up call. Get up or you’ll miss this lovely day you get to spend with the hottest boyband member on this earth."

"Really? Where’s Jonathan Knight?"

Justin stuck his finger in her rib. "Very funny. Isn’t he too old for you?"

Gina peered over her sheet. "I know. Now where’s Kevin? He’s closer to my age."

Justin looked out the side of his eyes at her. "Kevin who? Richardson?"

Gina nodded. "Yup. Come on ride the Train. Choo choo ride."

"Now get out of that bed before I have to drag you out. And I don’t think I have to tell you you’re spending the day with me."

"Why didn’t you just say so? No need to get so defensive. Let me go take a shower and I’ll be ready. Don’t you have a disguise to put on or something?"

Justin groaned. "Thanks for reminding me. Come down and find me. If you can recognize me." He wiggled his eyebrows.

"I can always recognize you, youngin’. Now shoo."

"I’ll see you downstairs." Justin walked out of the room to finish getting ready.

Gina got out of bed and sifted through her clothes. "I wonder where we’re going. Justin said to wear something to have fun in. I guess these will do." She picked up an outfit and made her way to the bathroom.

Downstairs Justin put on the finishing touches to his disguise and sat in the living room to wait for Gina.

"Justin? Where are you?"

Justin stood up. "In here, Gina."

Gina descended the stairs and walked into the living room. She bust out laughing at the sight in front of her.

"What? Don’t like the costume?" Justin slowly turned around.

Gina put a hand to her heart to calm down. "It’s not that. I love it. The dreads attached to the hat is the best." She played with the light brown braids flowing from the cap. "I see you have colored contacts in also."

Justin nodded. Yup. Brown. I figured event he green one’s would attract people to look into my eyes. Didn’t want to chance anything today. This is our day to have fun." He grabbed her hand. "Let’s go."

"Are you going to tell me where we’re going?"

Justin shrugged. "Where else? Disney World."

Gina stopped short. "We’re going to Disney? Isn’t that a bit risky for you?"

"Nah." Justin shook his head. "I know the mouse himself. Don’t forget I was a part of his club."

"How can I forget?" Gina asked while rolling her eyes. "But isn’t he still mad at you for the time you flirted with Minnie?"

"Why you little… I’m going to get you for that one. Come on. Let’s go." He picked her up and slung her over his shoulder.

Gina laughed as he carried her outside and placed her in the passenger seat.

~~~~~~ ~~~~~~ ~~~~~~
JC turned over and smiled. He was having a good dream and fought to stay asleep.
He was overlooking the beach at sunset. He felt a warm hand slide into his and give a light squeeze. All he saw out of the corner of his eye was brown hair. At the sound of her soft laugh he turned to face the woman beside him, but before he could see her face he woke up.
JC punched his pillow. "Damn. Why can’t the good dreams stay? I just needed a second more and I could see her face." JC stood up and walked to his window. He watched as Justin carried a laughing Gina to his mother’s car.
I can’t believe she’s senorita. How could those two people be the same person? He picked up a shirt from the floor and out it on. I need some breakfast.
He took a look at his computer and walked out the door.
~~~~~~ ~~~~~~ ~~~~~~

"Come on, JC. She’s leaving. Her plane leaves in an hour and a half. The least you could do is say bye to her."

"As if she wants me down there. I have no intention of going where I’m not wanted. Let me just stay here and do what I have to do."

"And what’s that? Beat yourself up for not being down there? Whatever, JC. Just read this and maybe you’ll change your mind." Justin handed JC a piece of paper and left the room.

JC opened the note and began reading.

~~~~~~ ~~~~~~ ~~~~~~
Gina hugged Joey. "Thanks for everything, Superman. Better watch out or you may find something about yourself on Chris’ website."
Joey tightened his hold on her. "I’m going to miss you, Gina. Now who’s going to put my Italian attitude into place?"
"I don’t know what you and Steve are going to do without me."
"Maybe get away with things. Come here. Didn’t think you’d get away without hugging this Fatone, did you?"
Gina slapped a hand to her cheek. "Why would I ever want to touch you?"
Gina hugged Steve and turned to Lance.
"What can I say, Gina? You’ve captured us all and we don’t want you to leave."
Gina wrapped her arms around Lance’s neck. "I almost don’t want to leave myself but I have to get back to school. All I have to do is get through these few days with my parents and I’ll be fine."
"I’m sure you’ll make it. Give Justin a call when you get in. Won’t you stay until tomorrow night? I don’t like the idea of you leaving early."
"Sorry, Lance, but I have to go. I don’t know if I could put up with JC much longer." She turned around and saw him through his window. "Hey, youngin’, I’m not about to leave without getting a hug that could get me killed by many females, young and old."
Justin wrapped his arms around her and spun her around. "I’m going to miss you, Gigi. I wish I could take you to the airport but I promised Jon I’d take him to the park. Here." He shoved a piece of paper in her hand. "This is something to read on the way to the airport so you don’t have to focus on my mom’s driving. I found it among saying one of my tutors gave me a few years back."
"I head that, son. I’m a better driver than you are."
Gina flipped the folded piece of paper over and smiled. "She’s right, J. I have at least a 50/50 chance of survival with her. With you it’s much lower."
Lynn raised her eyebrows. "50/50, huh? Just get in the car." She turned to Justin. "I’ll see you later. Have fun, Jon."
Jon just grabbed Justin’s hand and waved. Gina waved back.
After sitting in the passenger seat Gina took one last look at JC’s window and froze when she saw him standing there. His eyes were looking into hers and she mouthed the only thing that came to her mind.
"Ciao."
~~~~~~ ~~~~~~ ~~~~~~

JC reread what Justin handed him. He did not know what to do. His mind was fighting with his heart and it was tearing him up and he just wanted to scream. He heard a car door slam and ran to the window.

Outside he saw Gina sitting in Lynn’s front seat. Their eyes locked.

"Adios, senorita."

JC put in the tape Joey gave him to watch and flopped on his bed.

~~~~~~ ~~~~~~ ~~~~~~
"So what did my son give you to read to take your mind off my driving?"
Gina shrugged. "I don’t know. Let’s see." She opened the piece of paper and began to read the same thing JC read.
To laugh is to risk appearing the fool.
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
To reach out for another is to risk involvement.
To expose our true feelings is to risk exposing our true self.
To place your ideas and dreams before the crowd is to risk loss.
To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To live is to risk dying.
To hope is to risk despair.
To try at all is to risk failure.
But risk we must, because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
The man, the woman, who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing.
Gina stared at the page in front of her. "Lynn?"
"Yeah, honey?"
"Could we please go back to the house? There’s something I have to do."
"Sure, dear, I’ll turn around at the next exit."
Gina sat quietly as the car made it’s way back. When the car pulled into the driveway she ran out before it stopped and went straight into the house.
All the guys watched her run by them without so much as acknowledging their presence. They all turned to Justin.
Joey scratched his goatee. "I’m not even going to ask but it looks like you’re going to have to change her plane again."
Justin shook his head. "No, I won’t."
"And why may that be, only one in this group younger than me?" Lance raised his eyebrow as he asked.
"Because I never changed her reservation in the first place."
Chris put a hand to his head and shook it. "What were you going to do if she didn’t come back and tried to get that flight to Boston?"
Justin shrugged. "I don’t know but I have a feeling I would be one dead heartthrob."
"And he’s not conceited at all."
"Come on, guys, let’s not discuss this anymore. Let’s go spy." Justin turned to the house and began walking towards it. He did not even have to look behind him to know that he had all four guys following him.
~~~~~~ ~~~~~~ ~~~~~~

JC half paid attention to the video of the tour he was watching. The other half of his brain was thinking about what happened to him on the tour. From Heidi to-. His thoughts were interrupted by his door slamming open.

"So you don’t even have the courtesy to say good-bye? You were just going to let me leave without even a shove off fight?"

JC’s mind went into auto-pilot. "I thought it would be nice if we avoided each other today. I wanted to enjoy your last day here. It certainly would have been the only nice day during your stay."

"I see you still think only of yourself. Others might have even said they’d want me to enjoy my last day here. Not them to enjoy it."

"But I didn’t want you to enjoy it."

"Why is that?" After not getting a response she look at him and noticed he was looking past her. "What’s behind me that it takes your focus off of fighting me?" She whirled around and froze.

Both stood completely still as the story of their first kiss was laid out in front of them on the television. Gina watched as her hands made their way onto his chest. She gulped before repeating her first question.

"Why didn’t you want me to enjoy my last day here?"

JC placed his hand on the side of her neck and slowly rubbed his thumb across her cheek. "Because you were leaving and I still hadn’t realized how I felt about you. But now I know."

Gina closed her eyes at the heat from his touch and nuzzled her cheek into his hand. "Why do we always fight?"

JC stepped closer to her. "Because we're scared. We both felt feelings stronger than we had ever felt before and it scared us so we just hid our feelings and turned it into anger. When Heidi said we could fall for each other I think deep down I knew she was right. I had a good relationship going that I didn’t want to contemplate a change. Especially not on tour."

Gina looked up at him. "I know I was scared also. I think part of it is because I was doing something that my parent’s disapproved of and falling for one of you is exactly what my mom wanted. So I could live more comfortably, as she chose to put it."

He placed his other hand on her shoulder. "Did she really say that? Is she who you were crying over that night you asked me to sing to you?"

Gina nodded and placed her hand over his. "Yes, but I don’t want to talk about it now. I will explain it all to you but not at this moment."

"I understand. I know you’ll tell me in due time. Don’t forget I also know everything you told sleepygoof."

Gina laughed through the tears on her face. "That’s right," she ran her hand down the back of his head to his neck, "you’re sleepygoof. Knowing that and seeing what happened to Tyler and Lisa is just weird."

Shivers went down JC’s spine as her hand laid on the back of his neck. "Well, now I know how senorita sounds like when she laughs."

"And I was right. She does sound like me."

Gina and JC laughed but stopped when they heard yelling. They turned and watched themselves fighting on the screen.

JC turned the video off and turned his gaze back to Gina. "Do you think we could try that again?"

Gina raised an eyebrow. "You want to fight again?"

JC shook his head. "So we have a comedian here?" His face turned serious. "Actually, I meant the first part." He began to lean in.

"JC, I think we need to sit down."

"And why should we do that?"

Gina smiled slightly. "Well if this kiss is anything like the last one I don’t know if my knees will be able to take it."

Don’t worry. I’ll catch your fall." JC matched her smile but frowned when she turned her face to the ground.

"I think it’s too late, JC."

"Too late for what, Gina? It’s not too late for us." He placed his finger beneath her chin.

She allowed him to raise her chin. "I meant it’s too late to prevent me from falling. I already have."

JC smiled and leaned in again. "So have I." This time nothing stopped his lips from their destination.

Maybe it's intuition
Some things you just don't question
Like in your eyes
I see my future in an instant
and there it goes
I think I've found my best friend
I know that it might sound more than
a little crazy but I believe

I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life

There's just no rhyme or reason
Only a sense of completion
And in your eyes
I see the missing pieces
I'm searching for

I think I found my way home
I know that it might sound more than
A little crazy but I believe

I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life

A thousand angels dance around you
I am complete now that I found you

I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life

Outside the room five guys with big smiles watched them.

Justin shook his head and muttered, "Finally."

~~~~~~ ~~~~~~ ~~~~~~
"I can’t believe it. You and JC finally admitted your feelings. So you two are officially going out?" Lisa asked as she unpacked.
Gina nodded. "Yup. We’re not telling the press yet. We want to make sure we can work this thing out before adding the pressure of the media and fans."
"I’m so glad I don’t have to deal with that. Dating a brother of someone famous is much less demanding." Lisa leaned back on her bed.
Gina rushed to her bed. "Do you mean to tell me you and Tyler have actually committed to a relationship? You’re no longer trying to work something out or waiting to see how it goes?"
Lisa nodded happily. "Yeah we just decided that. I don’t know how it’s going to work out but we’re going to see. He doesn’t turn eighteen for a month or so so we’re going to lay low until Thanksgiving."
"Thanksgiving? What’s going to happen then?"
"Oh, we’re going to Bowie. Didn’t JC invite you yet?"
Gina shook her head. "No, but he did say he had something to ask me. Maybe that’s it."
"So you two are going to Bowie and going to leave me alone?"
Gina and Lisa looked up.
Gina stood up and hugged her friend. "Yup. Just get here?"
"Yeah. All my stuff’s in the living room. My parents helped me that far but they had to leave. So you two are dating the Chasez brothers I presume?"
"Uh-huh. I’m dating TJ and Gina’s finally with JC. So are you with anybody yet, Kristen?"
"Nope. Free as a bird and loving it."
Gina swung her harm around Kristen’s shoulder and gave Lisa an evil smile. "Well we could hook you up with a chance to swim in a Timberlake if you want."
Kristen shook her head. "No thanks. I like Justin, and he’s fun to flirt with, but that’s about it. I’ll leave the famous to you. I’m going to go start unpacking. I’ll leave you two by your computers waiting for your Romeos to come on. I think this poses a problem for you, Gina."
"How?" Gina threw a confused look to her friends.
"What are you going to do with sleepygoof if you have JC?"
Gina’s face eased and she laughed. "I forgot you just came back two days ago from your job and we haven’t talked. Well, you know how Tyler and Lisa were talking on the computer to each other, never realizing who they were talking to?"
"Yeah," Kristen said slowly.
"Well, the funny thing is JC and I were doing the same thing."
Kristen’s jaw dropped. "You mean to tell me that JC is…"
Gina nodded. "Yup. JC is sleepygoof and sleepygoof is JC."
"Hey, Gina, you have a package here!"
Gina looked up as the other girl in their suite, Kristen’s roommate, walked in with a package and handed it to her. "It doesn’t have a return address. It just says Risk Taker."
Gina grabbed the package and ripped it open. She smiled as she read the letter and took the tape out of the box.
"What do you have there, Gina?"
"Wait a minute and you shall see. It’s him singing our song." She put the tape in the radio and got lost in a trance as "Everything I Do (I Do It For You)" came pouring out of the speakers.
"You know that sounds like JC Chasez. Did you two hook up while you went on tour with them, Gina?" Sharon asked wide eyed.
Kristen took her roommate by the arm. "Let’s go set up our room. I’ll tell you all about it."
"Okay." Sharon went to their room to wait for Kristen.
"Don’t worry I’ll make sure she’s cool with it. Everything will be fine."
Gina put her head back and sighed. "I know. This is all so new. I can’t wait to talk to him again."
"I feel the same way about Tyler. He should be home anytime now. I just hope he beats his brother to the internet. Who know how long he’ll stay on." Lisa rolled her eyes.
"He’ll be on as long as we talk for. I guess we’ll just wait and see who’s on first."
As if on cue a sound of a door opening came from one of their computers. Kristen laughed as her friends glared at each other before making a mad dash for their desks.
The End
