The 12/25 marker test is simple - just swab the inside of your cheek. The first test costs $99. This test will tell you within 14 generations whether you are related to someone. There are more definitive tests such as the 25 and 37 markers also. If you want to upgrade later you can.

You have indeed brought many Burns lines together - thank you for that.
But MY Anthony Burns is not the one I found there.
According to my mother's notes, Anthony Burns was born about 1760 in Scotland, "a cousin of Robert Burns". Nothing more until he "married Margaret McLoskey in Oct. 6, 1806 ".
That same year he bought land there in Fayette co.,Dunbar township, I found. He sold it in 1809 and moved to Unionville, same township. Mother listed son John Burns born Oct 13 1810, Elizabeth born 13 May 1813, and Alexander born 14 July 1816, no place-- but I find them in the 1810 and 1820 Fayette county , PA census.
She had Elizabeth marrying Edward Ellsworth , by whom she had a child but husband is killed carrying woolen goods down the Ohio.
She then had another relative of the mother McLoskey marrying Elizabeth --William G. McLoskey ,her cousin, and went back west to Rock Island, IL. Alexander Burns, single, died in Rock.Island. and W.G. Mcloskey administers the estate(not much). No information of the eldest John Burns.
Mother's note say Anthony Burns died 1843 Mckeesport, PA
I have a New Testament Bible with the notation on the inside cover "Elizabeth McLoskey, her testament Feb. 8, 1851 Alleganey Co., Mckeesport". Time wise it does not fit as by then she was having her 4th child in Illinois!
Maybe you have something in you Burns files that would clear this up.

I have gone thru your site, and I haven't seen any BURNS' of Fayette Co PA.
Have you heard of any, or am I just missing them. My ancestor JOHN BURNS (GEORGE) was born in Fayette Co PA in 1768, his father George- birth unknown, place unknown.
The GEORGE BURNS family were wife: ISABELLA (possibly ANDERSON); children: JOHN BURNS b.1768; HUGH BURNS; MARY BURNS (MCADOW) & SARAH BURNS (JOHNSON).
