- This is an excellent CD with extended remixes of studio tracks (released
singles and B-sides) from 1984 to 1988. Great remixes of
Love or $ and Hello. Packaging: Not very good!
Just a picture of Prince on the front single-sheet CD insert....
the back side is blank. Collector's Edition - 1000 copies only!
- Recommendation
- Buy this CD -- you'll love it!

Red (1CD)
- Review
- European Outtake CD
- This is the follow-up to the brilliant releases YELLOW and BLUE.
RED has also a beautiful cover (red roses) and includes great new
songs - all in excellent quality!
- Unfortunately the extended version of Thunder is incomplete.
- A collection of Graffiti Bridge outtakes, MC Flash songs, Martika,
and Carmen Electra outtakes. This is the best copy I've found on disc
so far of these songs, esp. the GB outs: Come Outside & Play,
Oobey Doop, Thieves Acoustic, etc. The audio is bass heavy and the
disc as a whole was mixed too softly. I have to raise the volume past
my normal listening level to get acceptable sound off the disc. All
that aside, I wish they would have left the MC Flash stuff off the
disc. I listened to a little bit of each song and didn't hear any
Prince except for the music which wasn't too remarkable. I skip these
tracks. I really like the extended version of Thunder that appears in
the Billboards show. I don't know why, because it's basically the same
song drawn out for 10 minutes, but it makes good background music.
Listen to "Red" before buying, if possible. If you don't have the GB
outtakes, then this is a good disc to get.
- For Red, most tracks do not feature O{+> directly, and the sound
quality is micted. I was particularely pissed at the Thunder track! The
video tape is out, the Laser Disk is out, they could have taken the
track out of one of them with a direct plug, but apparently, it is more
like someone taped it during the show, live.... sound is disappointing.

Bridge outtake]

- Review
- 2-CD about 110 min. Diamonds & Pearls concert in Tokyo (i
believe). Quality is Good, but recorded too loud (distortion in
drums..)
Roseland (1CD)
Aftershow at Roseland Club/New York on 2.Oct.88, features Patti
LaBelle
- Review
- Incomplete!
- A short version of the after-show (complete version with a bad
sound exists on tape). Patti Labelle guests on one or 2 songs, he plays
'The ballad of Dorothy Parker', plays drums on 'Cold Sweat'. The sound
is VG+, with occasional talks. I'd say if U have Small Club think and
listen to it before buying it.
