SNAKE FALLS SPORTSMEN'S CLUB

INFORMATION, 2001

The SFSC has leased approximately 3400 acres of land for use by its

members.  The leased land is the Snake Falls Ranch owned by Betty and Les

Kime.  Generally, the land is bounded on the west by Samuel McKelvie

National Forest, on the south by Merritt Reservoir State Recreation Area,

and on the southeast by the Ainsworth Irrigation District canal.  The

northern boundary on the west side of the Snake River is roughly Steer

Creek or the fence directly north of it.  The Snake River forms the eastern

boundary after Highway 97 turns northeast approximately 1 1/4 mile north of

Kime's driveway.  SFSC member, Pat Stout, owns 160 acres and ½ mile of

river above the falls which we have also leased.  A map with the boundaries

clearly marked is posted at the Snake Falls Canyon Restaurant at Snake Falls.

Memberships in the SFSC are limited to 110.  Memberships are renewed

annually in February.  All persons accompanying members on the leased

property must have a membership or pay a guest fee.  Memberships include

member, spouse, and dependents age 18 and younger.  Guest cards for

dependents age 19-21 may be purchased from our caretaker for $15/day.

Cabins are equipped with queen sized beds, showers, stoves, refrigerators,

electricity and limited utensils.  Towels, linen, and cleanup are provided with

the cabin fees.  All trash and garbage must be placed in a closed trash bag

and placed in the dumpster by the restaurant at the end of your stay in the

cabins. All dishes must be washed and put away prior to leaving.

Cabin reservations can be made by contacting Bob Monzingo, our caretaker,

preferably by mail using a reservation form.  All reservations made more than

one week in advance must be in writing and accompanied by a check to cover

the first two days rent. Reservations can be made by telephone, but Bob

must receive a check and  written confirmation within three working days

to hold this reservation.  If  you cancel three or more days prior to your

anticipated arrival, your check  will be returned.  Reservations made less

than one week in advance must be  canceled three days prior to anticipated

arrival.  If reservations are not  cancelled three days prior to your anticipated

arrival and the club is not able  to rent the cabin to another member, two

days rent is owed to the SFSC. Cabin fees and guest fees will be paid on

arrival by check made out to the  Snake Falls Sportsmen's Club.

encouraged.  If fish are to be taken for consumption, they should be 14

inches or less in length.  The SFSC is committed to the preservation and
