During Placebo's 2002 break, Brian recorded vocals for the track "The Metric System", and for a cover of Serge Gainsbourg's "Je T'aime Moi Non Plus" upon which he dueted with Italian actress Asia Argento. Both songs appeared on the album 'Positions' by Trash Palace, a project of French producer Dimitri Tikovoi. The album was also released as a remix edition in 2003. |

Brian appeared on stage with Trash Palace at least once (where they performed a cover of "Can't Get You Outta My Head") and also starred in the video for "The Metric System", directed by Frank Perrin.
