These (among others) are NOT PLACEBO...
This is not the Bill Lloyd of Placebo, even though it used to say it is!
The real Placebo is NOT 'The Placebo Effect' or the 'Placebo' formed in the 80's
The first few seconds of "Serpent Sky" sound a bit like the beginning of "Every You Every Me" and the singers voice is kinda high but the song is by the Irish band JJ72, not by Placebo.
Some common file-labeling errors that say they're Placebo but aren't really:
- Placebo Headwound
- Lick the Pavement (this is b-side by the band Garbage.)
- Dolly Trauma (this is the name of a band that has a song called 'Placebo'.)
- Pitchfork
- Where Is My Mind? (Fight Club Soundtrack) Placebo did cover this Pixies song, but Placebo's version is not the one on the Fight Club soundtrack.
- Cloud of Poison
Check my page of Covers if you hear a song you know is originally by Placebo but doesn't sound like them, to see if it's a cover by another band.
here's a tip: if you find something labeled as 'Placebo' but you've searched around and never heard of it before... it's probably NOT really the real Placebo, but you can email dreamplacebo@yahoo.com & ask me to be sure
