The Inner Hall:

facing windows and two 17th century carved oak fireplaces. Two European Brownbears (each standing approximately 6 feet 4 inches tall) flank its entrance. Among the treasures ondisplay here are two giltwood console tables; their swagged garlands are richly carved and very similar in execution and design to a table made for the Royal Palace in Warsaw. A pair of marriage coffersin buhl work, displayed on stands in the same medium, are stamped Béfort Père. |
