It was love at first sight...
On Thursday, September 5, 2002 Megan Elizabeth Demuth was born in Fremont, Nebraska at 3:43pm. She weighed 7lbs 11oz and was 21 1/2 inches long.
We stayed at the hospital for three days and on Saturday we brought her home. We thought we were prepared... we were wrong. Nothing can prepare you for a first child. Our lives changed dramatically. Very much so for the better. It still amazes me how ones priorities in life can change in an instant. One moment I was concerned about what the football scores were and the next I'm praying that my baby is getting the nurishment that she needs to grow. Nature somehow takes over as we adjust to being parents. We are adjusting every day. We are in awe of how she newly discovers the world on a dayly basis. She is growing and developing right before our eyes. Being a parent is what life is all about.
To put it simply, our lives got flipped upside down that September afternoon...
...and we couldn't be happier.
