Afternoon
Shoot


This is “PILL BRIDGE” According to Roger, it was built “PRE-1190 a.d.”
Only 2 to 3 feet wide, it was built for Pack Horses to cross.


Currently, Pill Bridge is part of a boundary between fields.
Here, Roger had to get out and spend several long minutes untying multiple ropes
that the “Bloody Sheep Farmers” had used to tie the gate closed.

Oooh! I think this was the field where one of the dogs routed a FOX!
After a brief chase – during which the dog was too close to the Fox
for anyone to safely SHOOT IT – the Fox got away.
(Sorry, guyz! I was rooting for the FOX!)
After shooting in
two or three more fields,
we all returned to
the Round House for
Afternoon “TEA”
… Sort of.

That’s when I took this pic of
the BUNNY that one of the
dogs managed to capture.

Ah!

That’s also when
I took this pic
of a “SNIPE”
shot by someone.


Just behind the Round House is a large POND!
In addition to kayaks and other kinds of “boating” toys,
there is also a SLIDE going into the pond.

The reason I previously wrote,
“Afternoon ‘TEA’ … Sort of”:
‘Twas NO TEA in site!

Instead, the BOOZE CAME OUT!

Scotch Whiskey, Lager,
“Cider” (terrifically alcholic!) …
and Roger remembered he had
a couple bottles of CHAMPAGNE
in the “boot” of his vehicle.

I drank the CHAMPAGNE – of course!

One of Vic’s SIX SONS
was at the shoot and
took good care of Vic when
he wasn’t with Mark.

Here is another of Vic’s sons,
who brought a couple grandsons
to visit Vic at the shoot
during “tea” time.

As you can see,
it wasn’t difficult for me to
FALL IN LOVE WITH VIC!

He’s a truly lovely
old gentleman.

(That’s his dog with him.)

Clearly, Steve wasn’t as STEADY as he could have been by this time! LOL
